So, I found a dress that I liked and that both mothers and at least 1 BM all agreed on, and I had asked my other 3 bridesmaids to try it on this month.
Was planning on getting it in plum, until I happened to be on the website today and saw that it was now only available online and in shit orange :(.
So, here is my dillema: My bridesmaids are scattered. I’m in Delaware and only 1 other girl is local. 1 is in NYC, 1 is in upstate NY, MOH is in Tampa.
I dislike David’s Bridal (sorry to all those who swear by it)-for a number of reasons, but I was going with it because of the ease of use. I’m debating on going and giving it one more shot- but I’m not sure that I’ll find anything else. I’ve already been on BM shopping trips twice in the past 3 months..
What have you all done for your scattered bridesmaids? I really want everyone to be able to try the dress on before purchasing, since I have all different body types. My only other idea is to make a list of fairly common BM designers, check to see if they are sold near my other bridesmaids and go from there. But then I run into the issue with sample sizes- I’ve tried on so many BM sample sizes and they all look like crap and I can’t even visualize how they are actually supposed to fit. Also, then pricing will be all over the place. At least with DB I know I could easily keep it uner $150 for my girls…
Thanks in advace for the advice!!

Wow. I JUST bought that dress for a wedding I walked in this past June…for the original price of $150!! And now it’s $75…grrr -.- I’m really surprised because it is such a beautiful dress. But anyways..the wedding I walked in had all of us bridesmaids in different dresses of the same color. Mine was the discontinued one but 2 of the other bridesmaids wore the dresses that the previous poster linked above. They are gorgeous! Maybe you could look into those? Don’t be discouraged, there are lots of possibilities and I’m sure you’ll find the right one for your bridesmaids 🙂

Awww sh#$#%%^* :-/ I’m like 98% positive that’s the dress my sister really likes (I’m letting my BM’s pick their own style) That sucks, but I know she had a few others as runner ups.
I’m not a huge fan of David’s Bridal either, however I went there this past weekend and had great service.

@bestbuddies: I have the third dress you linked in your post. I’m wearing it in a wedding in October. We all really loved it! It looked good on all of us, and we have quite a range of sizes (from a 6 to a 20). I’m a fan of it! It is fairly similar to the OP’s first choice, but I know it’s not the same.
OP, I can feel your pain on having a dress discontinued! I had found a wedding dress that I really loved, and it has been discontinued :-(. It just means that there’s a better one out there.

Thank you all for the responses. I’m surprised it’s gone, too- it was beautiful!
You know I was thinking about that DB long chiffon halter that is slightly similiar. I’m worried about cleavage, though! Do any of you think that would be an issue?
I’ll probably end up stopping in DB for 1 last run through… I’ll have to go on a weeknight, though, or really early on a Sautrday so I won’t want to injure myself! haha!

@September29: I will say that the chiffon halter dress does show major cleavage (Like I said before, my friend wore it, and it definitely showed off her “girls”). It is beautiful but if you are concerned with cleavage showing that probably won’t be the best choice for your wedding party.
