So, I have a bit of an issue. We are shooting for a dark blue but not so dark that it is close to black. I thought the marine blue from David’s Bridal would be perfect, but I’m seeing more pictures and it looks too dark. On their website, it’s perfect. If any of you have had dresses in marine from David’s Bridal, please post pictures of your bridesmaids! Thank you! I might be moving to Alfred Angelo but the dress I want from there is $70 more…here’s the dress I want by the way: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Short-Crinkle-Chiffon-Dress-with-Front-Cascade-F14847_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-Short-Bridesmaid-Dresses

I’m trying to find my pics of my BM’s they are on another computer. I will go look but we had the Marine blue and it worked out fine, not too dark at all. I’ll post later 😀

I have a marine blue dress and it’s pretty true navy blue. It really depends on the lightin and the photoshopping htat is done. Below I have a few pics of me all in the exact same dress.

caseytykia: That color looks gorgeous, but have you gone to DB to look at the actual dress? I only ask because I’m pretty sure my girls tried it on the the fabric itself was AWFUL. DB has lots of lovely dresses (my wedding dress was from DB!) but if that’s the one I think it is…well, you may want to look at a couple different styles!

It’s a pretty true navy, not at all close to black. Here are my bridesmaids in Marine.

I would say DB’s marine is a true navy blue. It really is a beautiful color, but sometimes the fabric can make it look great or not so good. It’s very pretty in chiffon though I’ve seen it in person. Hope this helps 🙂

Love that dress!! 2 of my girls picked out the sister to that dress 🙂 as far as color I suggest looking at a chiffon dress from Davids in that color. Don’t rely on the sample they show you look at an actual dress!
