@renwoman:  Glad you were satisfied with their customer service and found the gown of your dreams! I am also a DB Bride! I had to go to a DB 2 hrs away from me. I got a recommendation from another Bee to go to the one in Dallas. I boycotted the one in my hometown because I know how rude they are but it was completely different elsewhere.

Yay!  Congratulations on finding your dress!  I also had a fantastic experience with DB.  I felt compelled to review them on Yelp since they had a ton of negative reviews and I didn’t understand why!

We’re dress twins! Just bought mine in ivory yesterday. I also had a great experience with them. I went on a Monday after lunch time and I was the only customer in the entire store. I even had other consultants come over and offer advice, ooh and ahh over the dress I was trying on, and everyone made me feel super comfortable.

Congrats, and good choice on your gown. 😉

I was fortunate that the the size I tried on fit me perfectly. I was able to take it home and just bring it back in later for hemming. My sister came with me and took a picture of me wearing it. I’ve been constantly staring at it. Haha. I just love it and can’t wait to wear it.

Congratulations, you look beautiful!! I also bought my dress at DB and actually found they had a wider selection and more helpful staff than the other 2 salons I visited.

@renwoman:  I’m not sure if I’m going to get the kit or not. I’ve heard great things and terrible things about it. Online reviews are pretty good, but I know someone personally that got the kit through David’s Bridal. She took her dress out of the box to inspect it. It was definitely cleaned, but the bustle was broken, some of the beading was missing, and they even removed the sleeves to her gown entirely and stuffed them behind the dress in the box. It wasn’t ruined, but if she ever wanted her daughter to wear it, it would be a lot of work to restore it. She also mentioned that, in general, it didn’t seem worth the money. She complained about the box being cheap and beat up due to shipping, as well. Some of the reviews state the same problems.

I’m sure this is not common, but it does make me nervous, regardless. I’m going to take some time and think about it and look into other options. I also need to think about how or if I want to display it anywhere after the wedding. That will play a part in my decision. I’ve seen some on display on Pinterest and they’re BEAUTIFUL. 🙂

I want to chime in and say that I, too, had a good experience with DB. I was a total brat and insisted on a boutique… and after four of them my mom suggested that I stop being a snob and go to DB. I had an early afternoon appointment on a Tuesday and the place was nearly empty. My attendant was attentive and thought about the dresses I requested to see. She went above and beyond by showing me a “test” dress that turned out to be THE ONE. The icing on the cake is that it cost less than half of what we had budgeted. I could not be happier with the experience, to be honest.

Very pretty gown.  I’m glad you had a great experience.  I’m going on Friday.  I hope all goes well.
