Have not been on the Bee in a VERY long time, but we've finally started making plans, venue booked! yay!

So I am a plus size girl..I wear about a 16 in most jeans, pants, dresses etc. I have fallen madly in love with many plus size dresses on David's Bridal's website. The thing is I have something very specific in mind, I want tea length, I want lace, and I want my bridesmaid's dresses to be the "wear again" type.

However, I have heard nothing but bad things about David's Bridal. So let's hear it ladies. Anyone have a good experience? Bad? Horrible? Let me have it!

    Thanks!

I had a friend who went there to try on dresses for the first time. She said that the attendants were a little rude and did not help very much. However, she did end up purchasing a dress that day.

When I went to shop for veils, it was a very slow day and I actually had a worker who helped me alot. So I guess it just depends when you go and who your attendant is.

I tried on dresses here, the lady I had was very nice. She had me pick dresses out of a catalog and then I tried them on. I didn't get my dress here but it wasn't bad when I went to try them on.

HOWEVER, my mom went to just go look at mother of the bride dresses. She said when she walked in they yelled at her and told her she needed an appointment, she told them she only wanted to look and didn't have time to try anything on even if she wanted. The lady told her she couldn't touch any dresses. My moms a little passive so she walked out. I went back another time to look at jewelry and I was treated very rudely. I didn't need help I literally just wanted to look at a wall but somehow that pissed people off.

I have also gotten bridesmaids dressses at this location for other weddings I've been in and I never had a problem.

I bought my dress here in TN but we did my girls BM dresses from the store in Cape Girardeau. I had positive experiences with both. My best friend got her wedding dress at DB in Sunset Hills and didn't have anything bad to say about it. I would suggest making an appointment instead of doing a walk-in. The one in Cape was super busy last weekend.

thanks ladies. definitely going to make an appt and go check it out, and if they are rude or not helpful I'll try my best not to fall in love with a dress there lol.

I didn't end up buying my dress from DB but didn't have any problems at the appointment.  They were just bigger than the other salons with more girls at once.  In the end it's the dress that matters, not the 'tude of the consultant, so if you found dresses you want to try on there, go for it!  :)

I went to this location a couple of times and never had much of a problem.

You definitely want to make an appointment. First time I went by on a whim and they said they were booked solid all evening so I didn't get to try anything on.

The girls I have worked with had been very helpful and friendly. I don't like the fact that they are so busy all the time in the after work hours (which means there are always alot of people trying on dresses and everyone sees everything you put on, which is annoying to me at times), but considering this is the only DB location even remotely near the metro area, it makes sense they would be this hectic.

I went here 1 a week for a month straight. Always was helped by callee. I recommend her. she is great. Of course, they are helping multiple people at a time, so be patient. but they are trying. I ended up ordering from them and had no problems. I am also plus size and ordered my dress 2 weeks ago. =D I did try on their tea length- i think its the one your thinking of I LOVED IT but ended up ordering the yp3344. Gorgeous!
