Soooo I was just wondering...does anyone have the same dress as me?!
Or has anyone seen a real bride wearing my dress?!
My dress is Davids Bridal Es9808. its just so weird not seeing anyone else post about it!! im so curious!!

Me In it:

Not a dress twin either but I love it! I never would have guessed it's a David's Bridal!
Love that dress!
How awesome that it's so unique that you can't find a dress twin! :)
I didn't find one either!
Does your dress have pockets? I could swear I saw a girl trying this on when I was at David's Bridal looking at shoes. You look very pretty in it!
I was deciding between that dress and my own...so almost dress twin??
It looks great on you though!
That is really pretty, here is my dress that I can't find a twin for either!
Davids Bridal Monique Luo CH515 (as shown in Ivory)

I have that dress! I love it. i also did the same sash, but in dark purple, but I am completely envious of your cream (?) one? Will upload pictures in a sec.
Also, can we talk about how the picture on the website doesn't do the dress justice at all? I saw the picture and was like "blah" but they convinced me to try it on.
I was so suprised to find my dress at David's Bridal. I think the quality of the dress is amazing, and I just love it. It was my 8th dress shop over a period of a month or so, and i just knew.
My sash will be deep purple instead of the pink (the pink was the only option they had to try on at the store), and I haven't made up my mind on the bustle yet. This is just an an example of what they could do with the dress. I go back and forth on it, I like the way the ribbon looks like it's flowing, but am unsure still. What do you guys think?
ellen is it? OMG I AM SO JEALOUS! You are so stick thin!!! You look AMAZING in your dress! i got the sash in champagne. how funny is that that we ended up with the same dress and type of sash!?!? hahaa
Thank you! I think you look *amazing* in your dress-I love your champagne sash and have been secretly thinking about changing mine to that. I love your color with the bright white of the dress.
And...I was also thinking of adding lace to the "cups" and back part of the dress above the sash-I got the inspiration from Mrs. Piglet's dress. I love how it looks, and I think I could add it to mine, but I'm worried that it wouldn't look as good as hers, or that covering the awesome pleats on the cups would be a bad idea. I attached a couple pictures of her dress for example. If I'm not supposed to post them, or am doing it wrong-someone please let me know.
So lace-yes or no?
and Oskagirl? You look beautiful, and SO thin. Your waist is like a toothpick.
Another side note about this dress-the straps can be let out, or even taken out entirely, which I think is great! they have about 2-4 inches on the inside of the dress which can be lengthened. I def. need it-I'm not sure if it's because my torso is too long or my shoulders are too broad but I'm having them lengthened. Right now on the inside back of the dress, each strap is attached with two snaps (and if i remember), a hook and eye that is cleverly hidden inside the bodice so it doesn't rub against your skin. This means the straps can also be made "straight" and nto touching, rather than criss-crossed like mine, but I think I'll keep it like in the pictures!
@caszos- The CH515 was my number 2. I am still sad that I dont get to wear it but I found another dress that I liked a little bit more. It was more because of fit and silouette rather than anything else. I looooove that dress.
To the OP. I am not your dress twin but I love your dress. If I was tall and thin (or even short and thin) I might have bought a dress like that. It is very delicate and romantic.
@ Charmed: I really love the dress, sometimes I second guess it, but once you buy, stop looking right?
elkennedy - I really adore the champagne sash, it works really well with the color of the dress! And yes I didnt notice about the straps inside and I was like wth?? hahah and now it makes sense since you explained it to me. I actually am not blessed in the chest area SOOO I had the cups brought in as best as possible to give a thinner look. I think that lace would take away from the dress actually! I think the pleats in the whole dress is what adds to its charm :) I say keep it the way it is!
I am FREAKING OUT about my dress though. I feel like the bolero is overwhelming my body and making me look fat, uhggggg
@caszos-Yeah, I guess you are suppose to quit looking but its so hard. Especially with weddingbee and all the girls posting dresses. lol. I think the dress look amazing on you. I am a little bit bigger so it made my hips look huge since it is a dropped waist. But I love it. We are having a garden wedding and it is so summery. I wish I could wear two dresses. lol.
Um, I am getting those fake water inserts for my indented chest, so you are not alone. Don't worry.
I know, I think I should just keep the dress as it is. The pictures don't do the pleats and folds justice, and I love how they look. I just needed someone else's opinion!
I like the bolero on you. Actually, I love it. But I know what you mean about worrying about something once it gets in your head. I don't think it makes you look big at all, I just looked at it again and thought your arms looked tiny. Would you want to wear the dress without it, or do you have any pictures of it without it, or even any pictures of it closer?
Osakagirl i love your dress and the bolero you added. i wanted that dress but it was out of my budget. when i found the dress i bought i was so happy because the silhouette is similar. The first time i saw you in your dress i went to davids bridal and check it out but could not afford it. my dress looks somehow similar. i would love to be able to buy that bolero but again is out of my range. here is my dress
I think your dress looks beautiful!! I love the fact that you have straps are so delicate!! simply amazing!!
First off...I LOVE your dress! How pretty! My BM's all have pockets in their dresses-Im so jealous!!
Second...Its funny you posted this because JUST earlier today I was thinking about not seeing a single other person with my dress either! I was torn between feeling lucky that there doesnt seem to be too many floating around and being self conscious about no one else getting my dress :)
Spaniel-which dress are you talking about? I don't want to reply like an idiot if it's not meant for me!
@elkennedy: Yes, I was talking about your dress :) I didn't see it there when I was dress shopping, but that was almost a year ago now. ;) It looks great on you! And on @osakagirl! It's super cute with the bolero, too!
that dress is gorgeous. it reminds me of the 1950's. i love it. especially with the bolero.
I will be a dress twin soon! I was torn between this dress and another and this post finally helped me make up my mind! I love the sash in white and think I want to add lace to the cups. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
I LOVE this dress & almost bought it too! I actually saw it on someone's post here (forget who now...) and fell in love with it. So, the next day I went to David's Bridal on a whim trying to find it (by myself). Well, I found it AND another similar one. Well, I fell in love with both but thought the other looked better on ME.
P.S. - There are no dress twins for me! If so, step forward! David's Bridal doesn't even have this one on their website yet!
(Sorry for the terrible pictures!)
Me in your dress:
The dress I got instead (very similar material & has pockets as well!)
@cc226 - I just sent you a message! The style number is T3909. It's not available online or in most David's Bridals (from what I can tell). I sent you a message with some details for tracking it down. :)
@becca3183 You are my dress twin!!!! I haven't seen anyone else get this dress till you. did you get it in white or ivory? I went with ivory. It had much more of that classic/vintage look I wanted for the entire wedding
@Osakagirl - I think Miss Seahorse might be wearing your dress! She only showed the back of hers in the picture, but it looks pretty much identical. It's beautiful, by the way!
@futuremrsc19- YAY! I have a dress twin! I havent run into ANYONE so far! I got mine in ivory, as well.! Just like you I thought the ivory was much more classic and it also looked a lot better with my light skin tone lol. I didnt think I was a lace gal, but after trying it on and thinking about our venue (a vineyard) it fit perfectly! Your big day is coming up! How fun!!!!
@jenniferceline: Miss Socks just blogged about buying this same dress -- http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/07/19/knock-off-wedding-dresses/
I think it's really cute. And you definitely made the right choice. What is the fabric?
OMG---- I love the Jacket, it makes the dress look completely different =] It is chick vintage and even if someone does have the same dress yours looks diff so you have no worries =] Cant wait to see your dress in better light! Good Luck you will look amazing
