And they're always different sales, always the biggest sale EVER, and the sales consultants say "oh I don't know how long that sale is on!" BS.
Do go try on some dresses now just to get a feel for the styles you like. You'll have more time to mull it over before ordering instead of being pressured into the "it's only on sale TODAY!" thing.
Oh, and follow the prices of the dresses you like on their website too. I ordered mine off their site because it was marked $50 cheaper than it was in the store and they wouldn't match their own online price.
Good luck on your ten pounds!
davids bridal constantly has sales.. but you dont want to wait til april to buy your dress though. I think feb is a good time to buy a dress for an october wedding.
Always have sales, dresses come in within 3 weeks. Depending on your budget, you should check out some local shops too- never know what you'll find!
My DB dress came in within 3 weeks- after they told me it would take 3 months. You have plenty of time.
@alicia1745: It all depends on the style & size you order. My BMs, Flower girls, mother and MOH all ordered their dresses from DB some of them came in faster than expected but others took months to arrive.
@bells: I guess that's possible but from my experience the consultants try to push you to buy telling you it will take forever to come in. Obviously everyone should order when they are comfortable with their decision - but it's not such a big deal to rush months & months out.
Since I bought my dress in September I'm pretty sure they've had at least three sales. Maybe more. Also, I bought my dress September 17th and had it ten days later, so I think they pad their shipping times a bit.
That said, it does't hurt to go look now :).

I'm sure this is in the forums somewhere, but I'm new to this, and thought it would be easier to ask a new question
I am marrying my soulmate October 6, 2012!!!
I got an email from DB today saying their $50-$300 off sale will be Feb 3-27. Problem is I wanted to lose about 10 pounds before I go shopping to try to avoid huge alterations costs (because I will lose the weight).
So my question is: Does anyone know from experience if DB has a sale in March, or preferably April?
Or is that too long to wait to start shopping?
Any answers are appreciated :)
