yea. ive had a bad experience with them too. :( im surprised they are exchanging the dress.... i had to just buy another.
I would try and get them to do something for free, alterations, or a veil, but something for the trouble
Some people are just stuck in the rut of everything has to match. I got one of those when I went shopping with my sister for her BM dress. It wasn't til I said, "Well, I'm the BRIDE and this is whatI want!" that they backed off. That said, I'd definitely push for some complimentary alterations or a sash or something for the harassment your BM went through!
No such luck. They charged me $245 plus tax for alterations, but at least they exchanged the odd dress out so I am happy about that. haha. They are h olding off on letting out the sides, so hopefully they won't have to do that in my second fitting and they will refund the difference.
When I picked another wedding dress I had to buy it because they wouldn't put my first dress towards store credit on it. I was sad, but oh, well! The most important thing is that I am marrying my Love. = )

So, I am a little frustrated with David's Bridal ATM, so I need to vent.
My original plan was to have my BM's in whatever dress they wanted as long as it was knee length and the right color.
First I took BM Sarah to get her dress back in August. She got this lovely number in Wine with a Champaigne sash (super cute on her!):
Then I take my Sister and MOH in later. She chose this dress in Champaigne (also really nice):
When I brought BM Adie in More recently she picked the same dress as my MOH but in wine. Which still went with my mixed-theme since they were different colors.
I was able to go shopping with all 3 girls, and we all ordered in Portland. Easy. No Problem.
Well Fast forward to Friday. FSIL goes into the Spokane DB. I wasn't able to go because I was at work. Well, They look, and at first try to tell her she needed Champaigne...this really confused her. She still bought a wine dress but what's getting me is this: THEY TOLD HER SHE HAD NO CHOICE! They made her get the same dress as Adie and my MOH thinking they had to match. If they looked @ the paper work how did they not see Sarah would be dressed differently?
Longer stroy short I called the Manager and they tried to play it off saying it was because everything was going on i different stores and they were confused....um. I think my BM knows what I want! Luckily they will exchange Sarah's dress when I go in for alterations. I'm still sad 2 girls got suckered into wearing the same dress but it's life. = (
Anyone else have this experience? Should I see if they will throw in an alterations discount as well? I mean. I bought 2 wedding dresses as well. lol.
