I'm starting today. Anyone want to start with me? Everyday...I need motivation. Help.

I've done the dvd before, but not for the full 30 days. My wedding is next summer so I'm down for 50 days with you haha.
Have you already done yours today?
No...i did wedding stuff instead for the past half hour. I guess I should start now because I have to leave soon and now I have you to answer to. :) This is why I need help. Thank you so much!!!
Ok..no joke, I lost the remote to the tv. I moved recently and never found it so I usually hit play on the tv and I can watch stuff but I can't on the Shred b/c I have to select from the menu. So there might be a bit of a delay as I try to resolve this situation. Maybe I'll start tomorrow...haha, no seriously...I'll get to the store and buy a universal remote.
Lol Have you looked on your DVD player? Some of them have buttons you can use to navigate through the menus.
Blah, it is all rainy here, a tropical storm is hitting or something. Why does rain always make you just want to curl up in a ball and sleep? Haha.
I did day 1 shred today on OnDemand. I hate Jillian. I was a little bad this last week since I started a new job and my eating schedule was weird. I'm back to counting WW points on each day so I can keep my weight down.
It's a tv/dvd player and yes...the other buttons won't work on this particular dvd. But I'm determined...sorta..with help!!
@ gaBGal I did WW for a few pounds a few years ago. Stay on this thread and we can encourage each other. I just bought a new remote! Hooray... ( I think the old one was lost in the move...roommates and throwing stuff away left and right). Here goes day 1. I just really want to get toned and 20 minutes sounds like a manageable chunk of time.
I think you will like it 808bride, but she really does kick your butt in it! I think I am going to do level 1 today...I feel so blah. Maybe if I just force myself to do it I will feel better afterwards? I hope lol.
Hi. I'm totally in on this. I'm getting married the weekend before you 808bride and have been seriously slacking in my workouts.

I did the 30 day shred and successfully lost 10lbs! I was so proud of myself and not only did I lose weight, but I looked really toned! I fell off the band wagon and gained back 5 of the 10lbs, but I need to start doing the Shred again. I will start tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
I'm getting married on New Years Eve, so I will have to hit the workouts hard during the holidays, so I don't gain too much weight :(
I'll be joining you guys soon, I ordered it on Friday after reading all of the great reviews here- should get it later this week.
@amp- glad to hear about the great results!
I did Level 1 an hour or so ago. Whew it kicked my ass pretty good haha, I'm just not feeling it tonight. My 6 year old cousin did it with me but I didn't have extra hand weights so I just gave her a couple of water bottles to use lol.
GABGAL: Where is the Shred in OnDemand? I want to try it! How do I find it? Tia.

His Barista: you can get it on Amazon for $6.50. People keep mentioning it OnDemand, but I don't have cable and I'd rather spend $6.50 for a DVD that I'll use everyday than $50/month on cable ;).
If you have Comcast ONDEMAND, if you go to the ONDEMAND channel, and the "Sports & Fitness" section, then to "Exercise TV" you should be able to find the Shred workouts and the other Jillian workouts.

Yes, Amazon was where I ordered mine from since I don't have On Demand.
I did it!! FI helped me set up the dvd system so then he just decided to join me spontaneously. He had to use cans of corn b/c we didn't have an extra set of weights. He actually had fun doing it. I really liked it because it was fast paced and the music kept me going. Didn't have time to think...just go, go, go!! Yahoo...at last..I'm finally doing something. :D
Alright ladies, day two done! Still feeling good although a little sore.
How's everyone else doing? Are you supplementing with any other workouts? I don't have a gym membership so vacuuming/cleaning and walking my dog.
Nice! I just did Day 6 today. My shoulders are hurting from the anterior raises (I had to do the modified version today), but I've been supplementing by running 12-15 miles per week with FI. I don't actually need *that* much exercise, though, so I'm eating like a maniac. ;) Definitely seeing results!
Can't do shred, haven't bought the dvd yet. But I got a Jillian Micheal's Boot Camp game for my Wii and it beat me up the first day!!
Hi All!! I'm IN! I'm a week behind 808 wedding is on 10/3 so it's definitely crunch time!! I'm mixing 30 day shred with some P90X arm/shoulders/chest/back and cardio workouts. Definitely could use the accountability here!! I'll start with everyone tomorrow!
Okay, so I did Level 1 and I did 1 mile on the treadmill. Blah, I don't know if I am sick or what but I just feel so out of it.
I can't wait until I get into that "I am so engergized from working out so much" part of being in shape lol.

I'm a little sore..is it possible to do every single day with no rest?? Oh well, guess I'll try if you do too...and it sounds like some positive results. If y ou are ahead of us or completed...please chime in to tell us how much it REALLY works or any other little thing that might be motivating!!! :) Going to force myself to do it...soon. I know it will get easier as it becomes a habit. arrrrghhhh procrastinating.....

Well, I just finished Day 2. I think my weights are too heavy 6lb each but I'll try to stick it out. The moves look familiar, like stuff I've done before, so I went to the AUDIO OPTIONS and turned the instructions off and went into the zone with the music. The cool down music is the best!! Anyway....I was pretty sore but most of the time I think it somehow loosened my muscles up. i'll stick with it EVERY DAY, even though my form is suffering in some parts and i was following the modified, low impact version today.
I definitely think it will get easier with each day so maybe after 10 days, I'll try out level 2 for variety. My dad flies in tomorrow and FI will meet my dad for the first time. :) They will spend the day bonding on Wednesday and then we'll head out to see District 9 when I get off of work. Heyyyy, what are the chances, they'll both do the workout with me? Haha...just dreaming. Let me know how things went with y'all! Oh..and I bought multivitamins today, just to be sure to keep up with the new workout plan.
I started back on the Shred today! Level 2 is killer if you haven't done it in awhile. Less than 30 days til my wedding, but I'm working out twice a day to make up for lost time!
@808: yes it's possible to do it everyday, but listen to your body. If your muscles are screaming in a bad way (an ache that is worse than typical post-workout soreness), take a day or two off. I only do it on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and take weekends off, so my 30-Day Shred is actually going to take me 6 weeks.
this is great! i'm with you! i'm at 59 days today - but we're going to vegas this weekend so my personal boot camp starts tues. i'm looking forward to checking this post daily for motivation ;) hang in there! it will pay off in the end! :)
I would like to join too! I bought the dvd, um, two weeks ago? I've been swamped with wedding projects so I keep putting it off. If I try it out tonight, I'll post how it went. :) I'm so glad Weddingbee is motivational!
good to know ms beagle - i've been doing it off youtube and it kills my motivation to get up at 6 a.m. and then have to get online first! i'll be picking up a copy asap!

I think I caught a cold today---so sleepy, sniffly, and sore throat...bummer...Wonder if I will skip today. Off to mop, pickup my dad and then eat dinner. I seriously doubt I can do it today. I knew I should have done it in the morning. I'll let you know how it goes....anyone else workout today?
808Bride, you can take today off (I am to combat soreness) but i'm totally going to pm you tomorrow if you don't check in and work out!! Tough love! Hope you feel better
Don't work out if you are sick! But you should always do it in the morning if you can... helps cut down on excuses not to work out later in the day!
I just did Day 7 this morning, and ran 3 miles with FI this evening.. I am pooped.
Just checking in, how is everyone doing? I did level two this morning before work and feel GREAT! 808Bride, how are you feeling today? I know it is tough because you don't feel great and your dad is visiting. Push through it! We've only got 45 (me) and 52 (you, I think?) days before the BIG DAY.
Is everyone drinking lots of water during the day? I carry around one of those Nalgene bottles with me everywhere.
