Hi bees! Anyone else have something similar happen? I’m wondering if I need more than painkillers and bed rest as I’ve never really pulled my back this bad before. All we can figure is the exreme weight of my wedding dress has done something terrible to me!
I wore it from the morning until we went to bed that night! It’s very heavy, though it doesn’t feel that way when on, and certainly not with all the happy adrenaline of the day! But immediately after I was in pretty awful pain.
Anyone have something similar or have any advice?

I would really recommend you see a chiropractor. It sounds like you might have something slightly out of place. I have worn many heavy heavy period costumes (think suit of armor) and never been sore four days later. I have thrown my back out slightly many times dancing or doing the horizontal mamba and 5 minutes with a chiropractor was all it took to set things right. Don’t suffer, seek help!

I would suggest an orthopedist first. They can check for disc issues as well as muscle issues and prescribe a course of treatment.
I herniated two discs in my back about 6 months ago and was in SEVERE pain. The dr injected steroids into my back which immediately reduced the pain, and prescribed a course of steroids and muscle relaxants as well as 2 -3 months of physical therapy.
Now my back is 100% if not better because I now know how to keep the muscles strong so I don’t hurt my spine again.
I tried going to a chiropractor first and he just told me I was out of alignment, but the MRI showed 2 herniated discs. Manipulation from the chiropractor could have increased the herniation and damage.
A chiropractor will x-ray your back but that does not show what is going on with the soft tissue like the discs. You need an MRI for that.

I hope you feel better! I’m sorry your dress hurt you, definitely go get it looked at if you’re still hurting days later. They always say beauty is pain….
My dress was a corset back and we tied it really tight so that I looked more curvaceous than I am, but I was still feeling it the next day. The things we go through to look good, haha.
