We're just doing a brunch at a local restaurant. I'm hoping it won't be that early because everyone will be tired. It will mostly be whoever is left in town of the OOT family and friends (a lot of my family is leaving early early Sunday morning and will miss it unfortunately). Nothing fancy, just lots of coffee :) Having it at someone's home would be nice, but I didn't want to put that stress on anyone - especially after a late night.
Hi,
I live in suffolk county NY which all my guests live in the same county as well. My wedding is being held out east at a beutiful venue by riverhead and I booked a hotel in the area and reserved rooms which the guests are paying for if they choose to stay. The only thing I was gonna provide is the Shuttle service taking them from the hotel to the venue and the venue to the hotel.
Now, I have them asking me If I'm providing breakfast brunch the next day... My fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves with no help at all. Times are hard and I feel that they are not understanding my financial situation. Also, we are not taking our honeymoon till the summer so we can save for that now and they are fully aware of that.
Is it customary for Bride and Groom to provide that?????
@silver25: Hi Silver - ask the hotel if breakfast is included in their room cost. If it is, transfer it over to a breakfast in one of the conference rooms at the hotel and hold a breakfast there. You should only have to pay for those that don't stay at the hotel.
Good luck!
We are doing one. The venue hosts one as an option. Most guests are staying in the general area so it should be at least 30 people.
