The people I looked out were around your less expensive option’s rate – $800-$1100. They had varying degrees of experience but did provide the majority of the services you listed.

@BetterSherm:  The only one that came in that low was one that just started her own event planning business (literally). She has experience from working with other businesses but I guess since she’s trying to drum up more clients, it’s lower for now. She is also in a different county from me. What I would recommend is looking for blogs of weddings done at your venue and seeing if there’s a DOC listed. It’s very helpful to have people familiar with your venue and the staff there. That’s how I found this one. I’m not sure how negotiable the DOC are as I didn’t try negotiating this aspect of the budget.

My day of coordinator is built into the price of my venue–my venue is almost all inclusive–but she estimates the cost at $1,000.  That’s for the northern California area.

I would definitely check out reviews from other brides.  The prices in New Orleans vary a lot for wedding coordinators, but some of the lower priced ones really lack the experience to handle major mishaps with weddings.  You want to make sure that you hire someone who will keep their cool and problem solve on the day of, not just someone with the lowest price.  It can be a lot added stress for you otherwise.

My DOC is ridiculously cheap at $250 dollars.  I know to take weddingwire.com reviews with a grain of salt, but she has alot of 5 star reviews.  For $250 dollars, I thought I would give her a try….if its a bust, then its not that big of a loss, especially since I wasn’t planning on getting a DOC anyway.

Mine was 900.00. She and her team took care of all set up and break down for ceremony and reception. I met with her 4 times before the wedding, she did all the layouts, timelines, and basically anything logistical. She also suggested vendors and helped with pricing. Even though I only hired her for DOC she went beyond that. I would have paid more.

Mine is included in the venue, too, but there’s a full-service Event Coordinator option and that’s only $1900 (I say only… but compared to some quotes that seems frugal!).

I’ve seen anywhere from 250-800 for DoC services in North Florida.

$650 – including unlimited meetings/phone calls/emails, rehearsal dinner attendance, and day-of coordination from set-up to tear down (our venue is an hour from the city and travel time/cost is included). She even offers to take me to Costco to look at flowers so she can DIY my bridesmaids bouquets and gents’ bouts.  I hired her off Kijiji. She only does it as a “hobby” on top of her full-time job (which involves hotel PR and such). She only does a few weddings a year, as she doesn’t want to have too much income that she’ll need to buy a business license and pay for the overhead costs.

Ours is costing $750, though I’ve been quoted between $600 (w/ discount) through $2500. A lot has to do with the number of years/experience the DOC has in the wedding industry, plus any variation based on your location.
