I know there are a couple of posts where people recommended their DoC's but my question is- to those who had one, did you feel like it was worth every penny?  And to those who didn't, did you feel like you could have used one?

I'm on the fence about this... you know how it is... these dollars add up!

I'm going to weigh in even though I haven't utilized my DOC's services yet. I totally think it's worth it. I personally don't want to have deal with the minutiae of the day. I'm not that interested in putting out fires and solving problems which is what I think the DOC will do. Anything that helps me enjoy the day as stress free as possible has to be worth the money.

If my theory goes to pot on November 11th I'll retract my previous statements on the 12th. Laughing

I actually had one free for 4 hours (compliments of a service I used)...Honestly I didn' really use her -with my mom, grandma and everyone in my bridal party there were plenty of people around......I guess there were no last minutes crisis either so I should consider myself lucky!..

Everyone I know who used one has said that it's totally worth it. I have one booked for a few reasons. One, I don't want to be forcing friends or family to help setup or cleanup. I want them to be able to relax while a professional who has doen this many times takes care of everything for me. I also like that I won't have to pay attention to timing, she will take care of all of that.

Thanks for the input.  It helps.

See, I was hell-bent on getting one but now I see a lot of my vendors are giving me people.  Like my dj comes with a dj coordinator and my venue comes with a bridal attendant.  That probably isn't the same, and may even be too many cooks in the kitchen, but I just wanted to see what others thought.

@JMars718: I would ask your venue what the bridal attendant does. my venue says they come with a coordinator...but basically they don't even do anything unless there's a problem. They won't help setup or watch the timeline or anything like that.

    I didn't use a DOC, and I didn't miss it at all.
