I'm working with Marie Rhodes from www.affairesofsplendor.com . She is VERY reasonably priced and so far I can say she will do pretty much anything you need.
Call Peggy Kelly at: www.TimelessCelebrations.com see if she has any packages available, she is a doll! I was at one of her weddings and she did a great job.
After much debate with my FI about whether or not to hire a DOC, we decided to go with Carina with Tealight Weddings (www.tealightweddings.com). Her rates are very reasonable and we had a great time talking at our first meeting. As soon as we left the meeting, my fiance was like "we are so hiring her!". Her reviews on projectwedding are amazing, and so far my interaction with her has been fantastic. She responds to any email or question right away and has no problem answering my many questions! I booked with Hustle & Bustle. They specialize in day-of coordinating so its not like you are purchasing their "low end" package by not booking them as your full on planner. So far, I'm really happy with my DOC. Great prices, too. www.hustleandbustleevents.com

You may want to try my DOC--Kerrie Underhill of Platinum Weddings By Kerrie. She is doing our Aug. 09 wedding, and we really like her :-)
Ditto on Carina with Tealight Weddings (www.tealightweddings.com)!!! She's my day-of coordinator for my upcoming June wedding and she's already been a HUGE help with recommendations. She's given me lots of suggestions and is so organized that I know she'll do a great job. I can't wait to hand everything off to her!
I used Lina Wallace of A Stunning Affair (www.astunningaffair.com). Not sure what your budget is but she is very organized and can help give you lots of recommendations if you need them.

I'm going to bump this thread with a similar request for help. I am looking for a DOC under $500. I know that this is on the way way low end for DOCs but I really don't need (and can't afford) the whole DOC package. All I really need is for someone to do what I would do myself in the couple hours before the wedding if only I weren't busy getting dressed and getting my picture taken. Any recommendations? I'm open to someone who is just getting thier business started and needs experience.

Hi splatterpaint. My DOC is just getting started with her wedding coordinating. She helped me with my wedding which was on 3-14-09... (if you look at the bio of the week for this week, mine is the first one with the pink roses..) Anyway, she was wonderful. If you would like to use her, let me know. I don't know how busy her schedule is because she has two kids who are very involved in sports and stuff but she really made the day run smoother, she was super organized, helped make sure everything was clean & tidy... pm me if you are interested (we paid her $500).
I used a coordinator, her name is Marlene Gutierrez. She did an awesome job, and she was very reasonable. Check out her website. I highly recommend her.

Hi! Joining this pretty late but I used Tara at Smitten Events. They were just starting out when I started my search (wedding was this past April) and they only charged me $100 for ceremony and reception. Tara was really helpful and friendly! - smitteneventslab@gmail.com
