I’ve been doing fairly well with wedding planning, my FI is great and my mom is also helping out a lot. However, I don’t really want family to carry the burden of the day of tasks. Is a day of coordinator the way to go? Any one have any experience with this?

We pretty much planned every aspect of our wedding without a planner – got all the vendors, etc. However, we decided on a week of coordinator. I think it’ll make things easier – and part of me feels ok with "dumping" (if you will) certain tasks on a stranger rather than a family member. I don’t want to feel like I’m ordering any loved ones around. I think it’ll work best for us…

Oh yes! I got a DOC and I love her because she is making sure everything is in place for my wedding on Saturday. I felt the same way about burden in family.

We are doing it! I can’t imagine how many things needed to be taken here or there, someone there to direct vendors where they need to go, and not have to rely on a family member to do odd jobs.
Enjoy your day! Let someone else take over the little things so you don’t have to think about them! 🙂
