We are doing….

ceremony at 3:30

cocktail reception at 5:30-6:30

dinner at 7

we will probably do cake and stuff while people are dancing.  Most wedding I have been to recently, no one has even announced the cutting or anything.  Sometimes the DJs announce it.

While we don’t have a timeline completely nailed down yet, I have ordered our invitations listing a 4:00PM ceremony time… so whatever we do, it’s working around that!!!

We have a small wedding of only 25 guests and no bridal party.  In addition to that, since our wedding is at a mountain lodge most of our guests will be staying there Friday night and will already be there the morning of the wedding. So a lot of the typical timing considerations don’t exactly apply to us. While I have some general ideas of how things are going to go, I plan on consulting with our hair/makeup artist, photographer, venue coordinator and DJ to compose our timeline.  But this is my general, preliminary timeline subject to futher revision:

8:30AM — Breakfast

9:30AM — Easy 1-mile hike up the mountain to take in the fall air and views with whoever wants to join us.

Board games (Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples, etc.), pool table, footballs and frisbees, etc. will be available for recreation throughout the day.

12:00PM — Lunch for everyone

1:00PM — Start getting ready… hair and makeup for me, my mom and FMIL.

3:00PM — Begin pictures

4:00PM — Ceremony

4:15PM — Holy crap we are married!

4:20PM — More pictures.  Hopefully a group picture if we can coordinate it.

4:30PM — Cocktail hour

6:00PM — Dinner 20oz prime rib steaks!!!!

6:20PM — Toasts

7:00PM — First dance, father-daughter, mother-son; open dancing.

8:30PM — Cake Cutting

9:00PM — Bonfire and s’mores bar

Our DOC just sent us our timeline, so here it is, if anyone needs something to work from. I think she gave us a good cushion of time for things that prob won’t take that long (i.e, the walk from the hotel to the photo location is literally just accross the street). But I am always running late, so thats a god safety net.

@Mint2BMrsB:  Our ceremony is at 3pm, cocktails and hors’d’orves are from 3:30 – 5pm and dinner starts at 5pm.

Our reception is finishing at midnight so we wanted to start a bit earlier to give enough dancing time.
