I’m trying to work on my day-of wedding checklist but I’m starting to panic while trying to work through everything. We’re setting up the venue and handling the appetizers and desserts ourselves. We have the day before to set up the venue decorations but a lot of stuff can’t be done until the morning of (like outside decorations and putting out food). The wedding will be at 1pm. What did other DIY brides end up doing on the morning of the wedding? What tasks did you forget about until the last minute?

i will also be going to my reception site in the morning to supervise and set up. and thats about it.

I will be going to the reception site the day/night before to set up (what can be set up) and to drop off any stuff that needs to be there for the following day.
Day before stuff will probably be setting up tables indoors, dropping off & possibly setting up the centrepieces (minus flowers–those will be arranged morning of), putting up signage, dropping off our fuji instax camera, setting up the twine for our photo-string, setting up/dropping off supplies for the kids table, as well as hanging any other decorations etc we decide on between now & then. Sticking thank-you tags on about 100 little cups of ice cream/ storing them in the venue freezer. Setting up the guest book/gift table, dropping off mason jars and any other supplies.
Day of (morning of) the groom/smen will set up the chairs for the ceremony site (same venue as reception, different spot), put up some signs, deliver most of the flowers (for centrepieces etc), set up a few lawn games as well as the music sound system.
I am probably forgetting something haha but I have some time to figure it out 😛

I’m also setting things up, but if the hall isn’t in use the Friday before then we can set things up that night after the rehearsal. However, if there’s something going on then we have to do it that morning. Oh boy that oughtta be fun.
