Hi Miss Empire State!
christine viola does a great job and is affordable.
http://www.exquisiteaffairsproductions.com/
she did miss canary, peony, and brooklyn bride's doc. she's also doing miss martini's wedding.
it is a big difference from a full time coordinator, but she will start working with you from about a month out. everyone only has wonderful things to say about her. ![]()
I 100% second Christine Viola and EAP. She is our DOC and so far she has been my Favorite vendor! Even though we only hired her as a DOC, she has been fabulous in responding to questions I have regarding suggestions for vendors/timeline/logistics etc. She is super sweet, professional, and always quick to respond to my emails. Definitely check her out, she has a few different DOC packages, so hopefully you will find something within your budget.
I loved my DOC - Sarah Lusardi of New York Engagements! http://www.nyengagements.com/index.htm
She was amazingly organized - really on top of every little detail the day of. I never worried about a thing. Plus she had two assistants with her. She personally called every wedding party member, vendor, etc. to make sure they knew when and where to be. I handed all my stuff over to her the night before (after she expertly ran our rehearsal!) and she got it all exactly right. Honestly, the whole day ran smoothhly and I never had to worry about a single thing the day of. I couldn't recommend her more highly!! I *think* we paid around $1000? She went beyond what she needed to do in helping us arrange a babysitter, going out and getting me fans for my guests to combat a freak heatwave, etc. I found a few cheaper (none inspired confidence) and a LOT that were way too much.
A few of my BMs even commented on how much more organized she was than people they had seen at other weddings. and she is really sweet too!
also check out mrs. cupcake's fabulous SIL!
She just redesigned my workspace (sneak peek!)
Sara Lusadi at NY Engagements did not work for me at all!
After a month of emailing back and forth with her, it didn't work out and I have to start my search over
We're using Cheryl Larson from Treasured Moments Special Events. She's wonderful. I just put her in touch with another bee and they are working out a DOC package. I highly recommend her. She's in Jersey but will travel to NYC.
missEmpireState - just out of curioisity, what didn't work with Sarah? I have recommended her to a few people, so it would be good to know if there were any issues......
Try twoteacups.com and ask for Lucia. She is doing my wedding in September and she is very detailed and awesome! I feel like she is maid of honor now because she is helping so much! :) AND affordable!
We got married on the 13th and used Bash - pretty affordable, especially compared to all the other NYC vendors we met with.
Definitely ask for Allie and/or Jayme - both worked with us and were great.
Good luck and congratulations!
Lindsey Maurath! She was so amazing.

Brides,
Russell Pinto of Little Red Bean Productions was FANTASTIC!

My husband and I had our wedding about 2 weeks ago and we used him and he was amazing and I would recommend him to anyone....he was worth every dime!

Since I didn't hear back from Miss Empire State on why she didn't select Sarah Lusardi, I just wanted to comment again on this thread how fabulous I thought Sarah was. Please contact me if you ever have any questions - we used her for our wedding in June 2008 and hiring her was the best decision I made. I couldn't recommend her more highly!
I'm using Rebecca Carlo from Unruffled Bride. She is super organized and budget friendly!
Kim Pilson of The Wedding Sitter - www.theweddingsitter.com. She was awesome.
My husband and I got married a week ago - we used Alina Tabari in NYC. I cannot even begin to say how happy I am that we used her services. She truly saved the day about 10 times through our wedding event. At the end of the event, when our "getaway" cab got away without us (didn't wait for us to exit), she personally stood outside the hotel and got us another cab. We had a perfect lux style wedding because of all her help. I cannot recommend her enough!!!
Hey Girls!
I have to second Michelle's recommendation of Russell Pinto of Little Red Bean Productions.
I worked with Russell on my "unconventional" wedding - one that could have very well been a logistical nightmare, but Russell made it happen without a hitch! Everything was perfect!
Ladies, this is the man you want to work with! Professional, smart....AND sexy! =)
If you are seeking the best, hire him!

Hi,
Can any one recommend a Day of Wedding Coordinator in NYC? We need someone to help with coordinating day of details, vendors, and facilitate the event. We don't have a big budget on this...what's the average price for a day of coordinator? Is it a big difference between a regular Wedding Coordinator?
Any recommendation or help is greatly appreciated.
