I’m just going to preface this with the fact that I have General Anxiety Disorder, and if I can worry about something, I will. That being said, I’m losing sleep over what to do the day of the wedding.
My FI and I won’t see each other before the ceremony, and I thought that the girls would get ready at my house, but where will the guys stay? This is where it gets tricky because my FI and I don’t live in the area that we are getting married. And his parents, don’t live in the area either. The hotel that we are booking for guests is in the next town over(since I live in a very small town without a hotel, only B&B’s). So logistically that means the photographer has to drive 20 minutes between places, back and forth, back and forth. The only other thing I could come up with is that the girls get ready in the upstairs and the guys get ready on the main floor of our house, but would that work?
I wish I could relax about this, but I haven’t been able to sleep since I became engaged thinking about the most random stuff that has to be figured out right at this exact moment or I’m going to have a panic attack.

Don’t have the photographer drive back and forth- waste of time/money. Having girls on one level/guys the other could work. Or, does your ceremony location have space where the girls could be? The guys getting ready photos are usually pretty straight forward- usually just final touches (putting on jacket, cufflinks)

@rebwana: i think having the girls get ready on the top level and the guys get ready on the bottow is pretty smart actually. You can just have them leave first! I actually called my photographer bc my FI will be getting ready close to the venue, but me and my girls will be about 20 min since I needed to find a hotel big enough to fit 15 people into one “room”…and I wasn’t sure how they could get the pix of FI getting ready when we’re about 30 min away from each other time wise. They said they will get pictures of me and my girls…that the guys are easy and they can take the “detail” pictures one the guys have arrived at the venue. There is also a “bridal suite” at our venue…unfortunately, its way too small for the number of people we have.

Don’t stress! No matter what, you will have a great wedding because you will be marrying a great man in front of people that love you. The little things fade to the background. I think having the dudes get ready on another floor is genius.
