I would love to hear from everyone how much time they have devoted to pictures on the wedding day. We are still in the early stages of planning and our ceremony time is flexible( from 2pm-3pm), but our reception starts at 6pm. Trying to decide if we should do some pictures before the ceremony, and then do a later ceremony 3. We have to be out of the venue at 4( but still have access to the park-which is beautiful). It will take about 45 mins-1 hour to get to the reception in friday night traffic. So would an hour before hand, and and hour afterwards be enough time for pics? Or do we need more than that! I love pictures and want to max out my picture as much as possible. They are very important that i get great pics and have enough time. Any input would be great!

Rather then ask for advice here, I’d strongly suggest you discuss this with your photographer. They’ll be able to best tell you how much time they need to fulfill your expectations for the photos.

They are closed today! ;( and its on my mind to take care of as many details as possible today! But i def plan on calling them and asking for their advice. Just curiuos to what other brides did, and if they thought it was enough time or not enough.

I am planning on doing pictures both before and after the ceremony. I have the men getting pictures taken while the women get ready and then the women to follow. After that we will have family pictures as time allows. After the ceremony we will finish whatever family pictures are needed and will do our bridal party photos along with couplle photos.
