I just e-mailed my florist about this. We are picking ours up the day before & she said they’d be fine just keep them refrigerated (them & any corsages).

We kept our on the kitchen table.  We put a small container down, filled it with ice and laid a damp towel over it.  We put the flowers on top of that and they were fine for the evening.  I was always told never to store flowers in a home refrigerator.  There are several common fruits/veggies that give off a gas that makes flowers wilt and turn brown much faster.  Home fridges also tend to be colder then the florists fridge and can freeze some flowers.

One of my friends ordered flowers from Sams Club for her wedding, they arrived 2 days early. She was freaking out! She put in a room air conditioner in the spare bedroom they had, and kept it around 65 degrees, the flowers were fine!

roses are really hardy, so you’ll be fine. Do yourself a favor and make one or two extras, just in case.

Yes….totally fine.  I have made bouts for a family members wedding.  We made them the day before.  Once they were done I misted them with water and placed them in a zip lock baggie.  Blow a little air in the bag then seal.  Place them in the fridge and it will be perfect.

For my wedding I picked up our flowers at 10 am on Friday.  They were in the car until 2:30 pm when we finally got the the venue  where I placed them in the fridge.  They were also perfect for my Saturday wedding.

One tip:  Make an extra bout for the groom.  I find they get pretty smushed from all the hugging and stuff.  My hubby had one and then put a fresh one on for the reception.  Looked picture perfect and it was a good decision as our ceremony was fairly warly at noon.
