We are having a daytime reception. The ceremony is at 10 am and the reception is from 1-6. I do feel that it will be such a fast day and also a tiring day as we will all have to be up super early to get ready for the ceremony.

@DreamInColor:  I haven’t had my own wedding yet, but I’ve been to two day weddings in the last year and a half, and they were lovely. They still ran like an afternoon/evening wedding, just shifted several hours earlier. It was great because there was plenty of time for an after party with the bride and groom afterwords without it being too terribly late. I actually liked it better than the late afternoon wedding I went to.

I had a day time wedding and it was awesome! I had a Chinese tea ceremony too though (in the morning), so that extended the day’s events.  My wedding ended around 6pm.  I loved being able to just go back to the hotel and relax with the new husband.  I’ve been to plenty of night weddings and afterwards I imagine the couple is just exhausted and go straight to sleep afterward. I know I would’ve!

I’m having a day wedding, but my reception will be at night so it will make for a long day.

I am having a private day ceremony with only my cousin officiating it, my photographer, my brother playing acoustic guitar, and my other cousin to be my one and only bridesmaid. Then I am cooking out with my family after. My reception is almost a month later. I’m weird like that.

Morning wedding at 9 a.m. with a champagne brunch reception following at 11:00 a.m. I thinik it is fine… We will have a jazz trio and plent of champagne and mimosas and it iwll be just as lovely as an evening.  We chose Saturday morning one because it was $20 cheaper per person, NO need for an open bar, and we both like jazz so it seemed perfect for us.   We may have a gathering later than evening for out of town guest, the hotel we are staying in has a bar.

I say do what you like… you have to spend the money.  Also at our reception we are having a dessert bar and I have become a photobooth expert , so we will have one of those as well.

we are having our ceremony at 11am with a brunch reception immediately after.  our reception is ending at 4 and then we’re headed to the city for a romantic dinner, just the two of us.  at 8pm, i’m gonna slip into my party dress and all of our friends will meet us for the after party.  it’s gonna be a longgg day but that’s what redbull is for!

Our ceremony is at 12pm with reception immediatly afterwards. We aren’t having dancing or alcohol so we felt that a daytime wedding would be more appropriate.
