I cant help you, but I really want to hear about this too !! If you dont mind, could I ask for bees with bands of any width to show us and tell us what it is ??
@MissTX: Thank you for starting this thread!
My wedding band is 3.3mm So I am guessing my e-ring is around 2mm. Forgot to add, size 7 finger.

Mine is 1.5mm (size 5.5 finger) :) I love it! The only problem is I'm having a hard time finding a plain 14k white gold 1.5mm wedding band to go with it. I'll probably have to get it custom made. :-/
I don't know the exact width of the band on my engagement ring or eternity band, but I believe the stones are 1.25mm each so somewhere around there? The 'plainer' band on the bottom is (I think) 3 mm. I wear a size 6 and have short fingers...I included a farther away shot for reference.

I think it's 2.5-3 mm at the widest part...I wanted a super thin band and I love the twists! It's a modified version of the Danhov Eleganza ring.
ahh! yall are awesome! Yes please share ANY width band so that we can gauge which would look best etc. The ring I'm drooling over right now, based on the picture, is probably 1.5-2mm. For me and the style of ring, I'm hoping it's a 2mm I don't want it to be TOO TOO dainty ya know?
I could look at yalls rings ALL day, serious business :) thank u. keep em coming so i may be green with envy lol
Mine's a 1.5 mm band on a size 6 finger...I totally thought I had a 2 mm band till I got it appraised! I think I just have small hands so it looks wider to me!

My wedding band is like 4.2 mm at the widest and tapers down to 2mm at the back. It is probably a size 7.25
My engagement ring band is 3 mm where it hits the prong mounted side stones & is consistently 3mm around to the back. Size 6.75
So I would consider it about a 7
This is 2.2. I previously had 1.5 and 2.0 and found them too thin/dainty. It's amazing what a difference a few fractions of a mm make!
My e-ring has a 2mm knife edge band (which makes it look slightly thinner than it is). My wedding band is also 2mm wide. I'm a size 4.5 finger.

The width of the bandwidth was a deal breaker for me!! I wanted something super thin and dainty. The bandwidth of my ring is 1.75mm.

My band is 2mm at its widest point and 1mm or less where it meets the stone.
Mine is a 2mm band, size 7 finger... I"m looking for a 2mm wedding band or slightly larger.
@Ms.GoodEarth: Try Etsy! You can definitely find a plain white gold 1.5mm band there, or get it custom made probably cheaper than anywhere else. That's where I found my 1mm wedding band.
Size 7.5 finger… e-ring is 2mm wedding band is a little bigger so I'm guessing 2.5mm

My engagement ring's band is around 1.5mm narrowing to less than 1mm at the shoulders. I like that it looks almost like the stone is floating on my finger. I'm not a fan of thicker bands.

@mammamia:Thank you!! I got it in October 2011 and I still stare at it all day! :)
@misabell: Oooh good idea! I'll have to take a look around there :) Thanks for the suggestion!
I measured mine actually one time when another bee was asking about ring width so I THOUGHT mine was 2mm, but I found the paperwork yesterday and they're actually 2.3mm Not sure if that makes a difference to you, but here they are. Size 4.75 finger
@MissTX: This is my.95 carat on a 2mm band, which for me, personally was too thin to accomodate my band. I had it re-set to soemthing thicker which is about 3mm.
new setting:
Ahhh I just found out my dream ring's band is like 1.3-1.4mm. Super dainty. Looks FABULOuS with the setting but I'm not sure if I want my wedding band to be that thin if I get the matching one. Do y'all think I could do a 1.4 e-ring band and then a thicker wedding eternity band like a 2-3mm?! I sort of like the mismatched look, but also love how the matching one looks too. Just depends lol -__- help!!
@MissTX: I think the most important thing when you are pairing a band with an engagement ring is not the width but the depth of the band--meaning, how far the metal extends out from your finger, if that makes any sense.
IMO rings of different widths can look great if they both sit the same distance from the finger. But even rings of the same widths can look mismatched if one is very flat and the other is much more rounded.
Here's an example of what I mean--these rings have very different widths but they look great together because they have the same depth; the outside edges of the rings align perfectly:

Whereas this set doesn't work as well IMO even though the widths are similar, because the wedding band protrudes farther than the engagement ring:

2.5 mm band on size 5.5 wedding band will hopefully be my mother's old band if we can get it resized--it will be a round, yellow gold 1.5 mm band.
My wedding band is 2mm. I'm not exactly sure what my ering is but it's very similar. Ring size 6.

My engagement ring is 1.5mm and my wedding band is 1.8mm
Here's a picture of my engagement ring on my finger for some perspective. My ring size is 4.75

@Over the Moon: YES i can see EXACTLY what you mean. the second picture, the diamond band does stick out farther on the sides, i definitely don't like that. I think I could for sure get the ring I want which is like 1.4mm and get a 2mm wedding band. I could probably even do a 3-4mm as long as it GOES with it. This is tricky business, wedding band picking!!
thank you all for your posts, it has really helped a lot. Seeing stock photos online is only helpful to a certain extent, you want to know in relation to the finger what it would look like! :)

Ladies! I know I want a fairly thin engagement ring band but all I've ever thought about was carat weight etc. No one ever talks to you about mm width of your band!! LOL.
Especially since we will most likely be buying online....I see a lot of ladies here in the Hive with 1.5-2mm bands and wedding bands. Can y'all do me a SUUUUUPER huge favor and post pics of your wedding bands OR e-rings and let me know what width you have?? This is sooo serious and I never thought about it until now. It's kinda giving me anxiety, hahaha. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH :D
