I get Dec. 24-27 off and then Dec. 31-Jan. 3 off. My boss let me decide if I wanted two long weekends off or a week off. I like the sounds of an extra long weekend to recoupe after all the holidays madness!

I get Dec 24-Jan 3 off. Paid. Woot! Best part about  the industry….the whole place shuts down.

today’s my last day, and i don’t have to come back until Jan. 3rd!  and the GREAT thing is that as long as i stay in the local area (which i plan on doing anyway) i don’t have to take leave, so it’s free leave,  (i have to “check in” on wednesday, but even for that i don’t have to be in uniform, thank goodness).  i realize not all military members get this, and i’m thankful to have it.

I get NO time off. I’m here tomorrow and Monday, then next Friday and Monday.

I work for state government and our office is open on all days that are not holidays – since Christmas and New Year’s are on weekends this year, I don’t get any time.

This is also one of the things that makes me really angry about state workers being stereotyped as never working/taking advantage.. I’m here all holiday week, every year!

We get Christmas Eve and New Years Eve off.  Most everyone is taking off next week because we have “mandatory time off” where they’re not paying us for a week and a half and are strongly encouraging us to take that time next week.  I’m saving it though and turning it into 3 weeks off for the wedding!  Whee!

We only get the 24th & the 31st off.

But I am taking off from the 30th – 10th b/c my husband and I are going to Europe.

I’m not really taking any time off, though my uni gives us a month-long break over Christmas. Oh, how I will miss it once I’ve graduated…

@ritsi_bitsi: Hehe thanks 😉 I think I *can* take Monday off without being penalized, but the office is open, so I’m coming in anyway and getting a day of vacation time instead. Still sucks though!

I’m off today at 11:30 (less than an hour to go!) and I don’t come back until Monday, January 3rd.  I’m so excited for the time off!
