We fell in love with our venue, but unfortunately their weekend evening prices were out of our budget, so we settled for a daytime wedding.
Now I am worried, that our guests wont have as much fun. Or that our pics wont look as romantic without the beautiful candlelight and moodlighting that I always envisioned. Our reception room has tons of windows and beautiful views overlooking a river.
Did anyone here have a daytime wedding and was happy with the results and pics? I would love if you could post some pictures of your daytime wedding for some inspiration. Also tell me about your experiece.

My friend got married a few years ago and her wedding was at like 2pm I think. I don’t know how her photos turned out, but the room was beautiful and we all had a BLAST! Everyone was dancing and I just remember having a really great time. Plus because her wedding was early in the day she went home, changed and we all went out to a local bar for a casual after party.
Hope that helps! 🙂

@TinyTina: Thank you, this is very helpful. I’m glad to hear a daytime wedding can still be beautiful AND fun.
Because our wedding is a Sunday, we also figured daytime made more sense, since we know most people would want to get home a decent hour. Ours will be over at around 5:30pm, and we are thinking of heading to a local bar for some after-party drinks with our close friends, who will not be quite ready to call it a day just yet.

I’ve only ever been to daytime weddings and all of them were lovely. The last one was at about 11am and the photos are stunning.
