My sister and her fiance are going to be living in Dayton, Ohio as he is going to be on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She needs help finding a venue as neither one of them are even in Ohio right now, and have never lived there either.
I am looking for a Dayton venue (in Dayton area or even a bit north of Dayton is okay – We are from Michigan) where we could have food, beer and wine, etc. for about 150-200 people for about $7000-8000 total, including any room/building fees, catering, drinks, gratuity, etc. We expect to pay more for the DJ, flowers, decor, etc.
She would prefer a room with windows, and some charm to it. Doesn’t have to be swanky. Outside catering is OK as long as a reasonable caterer can be found to keep the price the same.
If anyone has photos of the Wright-Patterson Officer’s Club this would be helpful too, as they are hard to find online and her fiance is an Air Force Officer!!!

Try University of Dayton. They have a beautiful ballroom with onsite catering and bartending. There is also rivercampus which is more elegant, but has a gorgeous ballroom with one wall full of floor to ceiling windows. The catering works with primetime who is the biggest party rentals in the area. They have gorgeous linens, centerpeices, table covers, decor, etc.

Do you have any ideas of prices per person? Or a website link?

The Cox Arboretum always looked like it would be a beautiful place to have a wedding. I used to live just north of Cincinnati and drove up to Dayton often to visit some friends. Here’s a link and some pictures. They have a link to approved caterers.

That is pretty! Keep ideas coming. Their reception budget is even tighter than it was originally and since I’m not from the area I have no idea where to look. Their dates that they can use are limited, too, which makes this hard. My sister is super stressed since she wants a nice reception but money is tight.
