This is very tough here. We have a huge gap in prices, and anyone who takes OK photos is WAY too much. We ended up getting so frustrated that we are hiring my cousin-- an art/hobbyist photographer to do it. Wish I had more advice to offer-- I was so happy to see another Dayton bride finally.
Blink of an Eye is good-- but super pricey.
I am asking one of my best friends. I think hers was in that price range and was AWESOME
I just read the end that you were looking at Childers. I think Blink of An Eye may be comparable in prices with them. I'll let you know once my friend texts me back.
Wow...THANKS! I love the christina littleton photos. I will have to contact and get a quote! Blink of an eye looked good as well but the photos seemed a little rustic for me.
Good luck! I can almost guarantee CL is in your budget, I don't know how much she spent, but I know her total budget and would say it fits. She was also very nice to the bridesmaids.
I went to Tracy Abston for my boudoir photo shoot and fell in love with her! She is amazing!! Very spunky, very professional, and a great photographer. Not sure what her prices are for weddings, but I know that she does photograph them. I suggest looking at her website: www.picturesbytracy.com and contacting her for prices.
David Hart Photography is in Fort Wayne, IN but I think he travels.

Apparently he is part of a group of media professionals.
too bad DH and I will be there the weekend before for a wedding at Miami and we do wedding photography and only charge about $1250.
Long stretch but: If you really wanted to make it work we could since I'm sure he'll want to hang out with old friends and family during the week in Ohio - he also has a flexible work schedule. check out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tonyamato/collections/72157624690849699/
good luck!
We used Kevin Lush- photojournalistic, gives you all the CDs with rights, and we got the CDs a week after the wedding! He's reasonable- we paid around $1250 for eight hours and got almost 1200 pictures.

There's a couple in Greenville (just North of Dayton) who is fantastic! They're called Look Here Photography. My sister used them, and her pictures were gorgeous. Their blog is http://lookherephotography.blogspot.com. They update their facebook page pretty frequently too.
i'm using Allison Laura photography, she's amazing! definitely listens to your wishes and makes the day what you want. Great photojournalistic style. Very reasonably priced! http://www.allisonlaura.com/
I love love love my photographer, Sarah Babcock. She is what I consider pricier but I think she can fall within your budget and I learned while searching for a wedding photographer that you really do get what you pay for. http://www.babcockstudio.com/

I need help, anyone have any great photographers that won't charge me my first born? I am prepared to spend $2500-$3000 (which is already a lot) on my wedding photos and prefer the photo journalistic look as opposed to pose and shoot. I have an appointment with Childers in 2 weeks, looked at Mark Garver - TOO EXPENSIVE! Any other ideas from any Dayton bees??? Looking for options...or else can anyone give their experience with Childers?
