you might want to move this to the DC board…. thinking you migth get more localized advise.

but for your question, if you arent religious, maybe see about getting a friend ordained online and have them do it?

Also do some searches online on “wedding ceremony wording” there are tons of really nice sites that pop up with good wording 🙂

My dad got married by a local officiant I dont remember her name but if you PM me I can get your her information. She was really niec and really good for their ceremony. She is non-religious but can perform religious ceremonies if  that is what you are looking for.

We used Reverend Debby Altomonte (http://www.reverenddebby.com/)

She was really wonderful to work with and created a ceremony that was traditional (which we wanted), but still unique and fitting for us as a couple.  Her rates were also the most reasonable of any officiant I found.  I would highly recommend her.

I recommend AC Warden (CapitalCeremonies.com) She lives in MD, but travels to DC or VA and does personalization for non-religious weddings. We met with her and I thought she was great, but we ended up going with someone else that fit our budget better.
