Hey ladies – my J lives in DC and I’ll be spending 7 weeks there with him this winter. My hair is currently growing out a BAD foreign haircut (I looked like elton john. not good!) and I’ll need to get it shaped when I get into town… but I’ve never been to DC before.
Any recommendations for good stylists or salons that won’t break the bank? I just need a cut/style, no coloring or anything else fancy. 🙂
He lives just north of Adams Morgan (I think that’s a neighborhood name, right?)

Unfortunately, the only stylist in DC I know of is used by a friend of mine, and she spends *way* more on her hair than I’m willing to part with! Anyone else have any ideas?

I would try a Bubbles Salon or an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa….both are really good but Bubbles is a LOT cheaper! You can probably do a location search on their website. Or I would look for something in Georgetown…you will probably pay a pretty penny but Im sure it would be worth it!

Clare – Bubbles Salon looks like exactly what I want 🙂
Have you used them? The price is definitely right 🙂

I go to Bang Salon. There are four locations, the one closest to you is probably the Metropole location (which is near Dupont Circle) or the Verizon Center location. The Verizon Center location is right near a metro stop (Gallery Place, Red Line) which is nice if you won’t have a car. My stylist is Elena (at the Metropole location) and I love her. Cuts at Bang are $42.
