For our OOT bags, we're including foods that come from the different cities where we've lived.  I'm having a hard time thinking of something DC-themed that wouldn't be too expensive and that we could have shipped to us.  I already have chocolates from another city, so I'd prefer not to do that again.

Anyone have any good ideas on DC-specific goodies?  Thanks!  :)

What about little containers of Old Bay? Crabs w/old bay are def a Maryland/DC thing.

I agree with @bethesdabride, Old Bay may be more of a MD thing, but it's close enough...

The other idea I would have would be to do any sort of candy or cookie with an American flag on it to represent DC.

That's definitely true, although I was hoping to include something that people would be able to snack on in the hotel.

An American flag on something is a good idea, thanks!  I was also trying to think of something Supreme Court related since we're both lawyers...

Hmm what about Georgetown Cupcakes?? I know that cupcakes themselves are not DC specific....but Georgetown cupcake is the first of its kind!

Or you could do Crab chips!!!! They are made by utz and are SO delicious!!!! You can get them at 7-11.

Or you can order them online

Hill's Kitchen sells DC cookie cutters for $1.25. Why not get one and make cookies or get each guest a cookie cutter? You could also get the donkey and elephant cookie cutters and make cookies.

Or the recipe for Senate Bean soup?
