I would say that if this hasn’t happened to you before, it makes me think it could very well be implantation bleeding.

Could just be an off-month too though. You have no signs of like, a yeast infection ot anything, right? You’ll only really know next week if your period doesn’t show.

Good luck and keep us updated!

@BellaDee:  ..for most, implantation usuall has cramping too.

Again, it really sounds like IB…but we won’t know till you can test!

No one can tell you if your spotting was ovulation or implantation. All you can do is wait for AF to arrive, or not arrive, and take a test. Does your DH pull out every single time or are you just pulling out around the time that you are assuming you’re ovulating? Charting would be helpful to know when this is so that you don’t have these issues going forward.

@BellaDee:  I totally hear you on that, I don’t temp either. Too much pressure. The pull out method works (obv, 6 years!) but no method is fool proof so there’s always a chance as you well know. It could very well just be late ovulation, or an irritated cervix from all that activity lately, or just a hormone shift in the luteal phase. The odds that it’s implantation are small but definitely there! Only time will tell, good luck!!

@BellaDee:  I wouldn’t test until the day you expect your period or later.

Hard to tell could be anything. Wait until your period is due and take a FRER with FMU.  Good luck!

I’m thinking my husband just sexed my period out early.”

lolwut?

I’m hoping I’m misunderstanding this, but if you’re saying you maybe just had so much sex that you’re getting your period early, then no.  Nope.  That’s not how it works.

It’s possible to have midcycle spotting for lots of reasons, which makes it really frustrating if you’re looking for signs.  Although implantation spotting isn’t really that common, it does happen, and if this is what you’re seeing it could be possible to get a positive pregnancy test in a few days.  But your best bet is just to wait and see if AF shows.

It’s also possible to have some spotting with ovulation.  You said you had a flow of clear cervical mucous (CM) (I’m assuming this is what you mean when you say DC – I’m not familiar with that acronym) – did it look like raw egg whites (clear, stretchy, and slippery)?  You could potentially be ovulating now, and that’s what’s going on (cramping, spotting).

In the end, it’s frustrating, but you really can’t know for sure unless you wait it out.  And if you’re really not OK with getting pregnant now, maybe look into adding some other form of birth control (whether that be barrier, charting and avoiding your fertile window, or something else)?  Good luck!
