I've never heard of this designer but the lady said she paid $3500 for it and is asking $600... It's my size, and I'm going to try it on tomorrow.

    Is that a deal?!

    It's San Patrick.

I have definitely heard of San Patrick .. lots of Bee's on here have worn that designer! If she really did pay 3500 for it then I would say its a deal. You should research the style number and see if it really does retail for that much. But if it fits and is in good condition then I would say go for it!

I think $3500 is ridiculous for a San Patrick dress.  But $600 isn't bad if it's in excellent condition.  I would say most San Patrick dresses I've seen go for $1200-$2000.

Its a great price for a San Patrick. Just check for labels incase its a knockoff, but in the end if you like the way it looks and fits, it doesn't matter where its from!

I only went to one bridal shop that carried San Patrick and none were under $2000, but they were all gorgeous. So if you like the dress it's a great deal!

You should definitely ask to try it on. I know that might sound a bit unhygenic (sp?) but it will give you the best foundation to see if the dress is really for you.

Okay so I tried it on... I like it, but the beading is all hand sewn. So it doesn't leave much room for alterations. It already needs about an inch or two taken in in the bust and a small amount in the waist. And I'm starting an intense diet plan on Friday... Anyone have experience in alterations? Lacey hand beaded dresses, easy or not easy to take in?
