I just posted for advice on being a first time cruiser, but I think I have bigger fish to worry about.
We’re flying to FL on Saturday for our honeymoon. Initially when I made flight reservations I put my married name, but after talking to the cruiseline, they suggested having the airline change my name back to my maiden since I wouldn’t get a new passport in time. Fair enough.
Called the airline, they changed it. Called at the beginning of June to confirm info. “Oh, it looks like we don’t have your middle name in there. It got deleted somehow. Let me put that in for you.”
Fast forward to last night. I sat on hold for an hour before hanging up. Called in again this morning and was on hold for 35 minutes. Finally got a hold of someone, just to confirm again and make sure everything is ok. The lady says, “It looks like they put your first and middle name in the same box. I’ll change that.” Finally I said, “My honeymoon is Saturday. Is all this info going to be correct when I go to the airport?” She said, “It should be.”
Key word: Should. Not yes.
I’m so frusterated with the airline because it really isn’t a hard task to put a first name in the first name box, a middle name in the middle name box, and a last name in the last name box. I’m going to call tonight and reconfirm because I am just in panic mode over this. If names don’t match exactly (especially with the passport and boat) they won’t let me on. And now to be having difficulties having my ID match my flight info 2 days before our honeymoon??
Sorry for the rant. I am just frusterated that this is happening (on top of my internet on the fritz and no one at the company wants to help me and Darling Husband [minus the darling part right now] hit a pheasant on the way to work because he hates to slow down for them.) I need a drink and it’s only 8:15a lol
