Shower is coming up and I’m terrified LOL… I am SO awkward when it comes to opening gifts in front of people. Put me in front of a LOT of people to open all my gifts, ahh! My original plan for this was to keep the champagne flowing so the awkwardness might dissipate, but I have a long day/night ahead, and my bridal party is having my bachelorette later that day….no time for naps! I need to keep gifts going, but don’t want to be so weird that it comes off as I’m not grateful..Any helpful thoughts on easy one liner thank yous or other things I can say or do to get through this without looking like a beet?? Thanks!

Just smile and say thank you! You won’t be as awkward as you think!

shorebride105: You sound just like me! My shower was this past weekend and I was so nervous about this, because I’m awkward and I didn’t want to come off as being a weirdo or ungrateful. I was pretty much slamming sangria once the shower started and my Maid/Matron of Honor knew to keep my glass full lol. It was all a whirlwind, but I just made a point to say thank you and hug everyone individually after opening their gift. My mom said I did great haha.

I am glad that I am not the only one who has this worry. One of my family friends showed me this bridal shower bingo game that she had enjoyed at a shower she attended. Guest get a blank bingo card and fill in each square with gifts they think you might recieve and attempt to get a bingo as they mark off squares as you open gifts. I am thinking of having my Maid/Matron of Honor have this game for the guest to play so people will also be focused on their Bingo cards.
