@blushpinkbride:  you would be amazed at the magic a good seamstress can do when letting out a dress. Find someone to make it fit better so you aren’t freaking out trying to starve yourself skinny.

Trust me- every bride is beautiful on her wedding day. No matter what she looks like.

@blushpinkbride:  You probably do not want to hear this, but I am CERTAIN you ARE BEAUTIFUL, and will look RADIANT on your wedding day.  4 months is a lot of time to drop those few pesky pounds, but it will make it a lot more difficult to do if you are constantly stressed about it, which sounds odd but is true.  Perhaps the 1200 calorie diet is TOO LOW to establish your goals, because if you are not eating enough, your body is not going to let you drop the sources it needs to sustain itself.

Obviously, not having your dress zip would be stressful for anyone, but instead of beating yourself up over it.  I think it will come together wonderfully, your husband will be in awe of you on that day, and you – at any weight, shape or size could NEVER BE AN UGLY BRIDE.  I have yet, in my lifetime, seen an ugly bride, and I have been to a lot of weddings 🙂

@blushpinkbride:

I lost 22 pounds in four months, but I have been restricting a lot of what I eat.

Invest in some very good shapewear and keep on dieting.

Focus on sugars and carbs – those foods that help you retain water and bloating. Avoid alcohol. I’m sure you will be beautiful on your wedding day. Your FI loves you and he knows what you look like every single day. Be kind to yourself and good luck!

@blushpinkbride:  I feel this way too…and worry about it constantly. There is so much pressure to be the “beautiful bride” it’s ridiculous. I have my gown but I have my first fitting next week so we’ll see how that goes…

@blushpinkbride:  Im sure you will look beautiful. Even with your face covered you can tell you have a lovely figure and pretty blonde hair.

But I gotta ask- did you buy your gown in an “aspirational” size? Or did it just come in a little snug? I dont think you should starve yourself for an unrealistic, arbitrary size number- could you order it in your own (lovely, beautiful) size?

No such thing as an ugly bride!!  You’ll look beautiful on your day – happiness is the best cosmetic:)

FWIW, I think you look great in your dress – I agree with ordering it in a larger size if you can.

That dress looks amazing on you…Did you buy it a size too small thinking you were giong to lose weight?  You don’t look like you need to lose any weight!
