I have never been to a wedding at Greenfield but I have at the DI and I adore the Inn.  The ceremony was at the Dearborn Inn and then there was a cocktail hour on the patio.  Don’t laugh but when the waiters brought your dinner to your guests they did a little dance (which I thought was adorable).  The one thing I remember that I didn’t like was the the bar was in the hall??  I should tell you it’s been about 8 years since I went to this wedding but it very vivid for me so it must have made an impression.  I looked at the DI to do my bridal shower but ended up booking Andiamo’s.  DI screams class 🙂

Hope this helps!!

I agree with June5Bride – the Dearborn Inn is beautiful and classy.  They have an amazing space for an outdoor wedding there, too.  We looked at it and ended up going somewhere else, simply because the Dearborn Inn was so much pricier than other options.  You get what you pay for though, because it is amazing.

I didn’t look at Greenfield Village, so I can’t help you compare, but I do have two BIG pros for both, especially if you have a lot of out of town guests:

Dearborn Inn – It’s an inn, so your guests (as well as you and your husband) can stay there!  Super convenient.

Greenfield Village – It’s an attraction in itself, so it’s an easy way for guests to entertain themselves during non-wedding times of the weekend.

Good luck!

I used to work banquets for the Dearborn Inn and after seeing dozens of weddings that went on, I couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else. (My date is set for June 2012) It is a bit pricey, but if you compare what is included in the package you really are getting a lot more than you think. I like that the dinner prices include a 4 hour unlimited bar instead of purchasing seperately. Plus the food is great!

The biggest difference between a place like the Dearborn Inn and Greenfield Village is the level of service. The Dearborn Inn does 60+ weddings a year and the staff is highly trained and exceptional at what they do. If you are a bride that notices and cares about the little extras in customer service, you won’t regret your decision.

I really could go on and on, but don’t want to seem like I’m making a sales pitch. I’d be glad to give you more of my insight on the Dearborn Inn if you’d like it. Best of luck!

Both places are great… I’ve heard wonderful experiences from both.  Just go with your gut and what feels right when you visit.
