What you are planning is exactly what I'm doing (with exception of it being a different color scheme). I have purple shoes and my bouquet will be purple. The bridesmaids bouquets are white. However, the groom will have white bout to go with my dress (his tie is the pop of purple) and the groomsmen will have purple bouts.
I agree the mix of pinks for hte bouts probably won't match exactly and won't look quite right.
I think that it would look GREAT with the BM's having ivory and yours in Pink!! i love it cause the bride usually has white and the BM's have color!! Love IT!!
Ivory would be classic and beautiful, but I'm thinking you could definitely use a nice pop of colour other than the watermelon.
Are you open to green shades at all? Green can look absolutely stunning with warm, vibrant shades like watermelon. Hypericum berries make beautiful boutonnieres and there are some truly stunning green bouquets out there. And you could toss in some dark fiddleheads for both the bouquets and boutonnieres to add elegance and tie in the darker tones of the black.

I did the same thing. I carried purple and had the girls cary ivory. I however had the stems wrapped in the matching ribbon. Hubs had purple and gm's had ivory bouts.

For a friend's wedding, we had black dresses and hot pink sashes. Our bouquets had pinks, purples, and even oranges and really popped with our black dresses. I think what you've suggested will look beautiful!
I also liked the comment about the green accent - that would also work in your scheme.
Thanks everyone! I feel much more confident now. :) I just didn't want the pinks of the flowers to clash with the watermelon. I love the idea of the bride having a pop of color since the dresses usually don't. I like the idea of the greens too, thanks! mwitter80, I was thinking of the BM's having matching ribbon.. your bouquets look so cute! Good idea, love those lilies!

Hello,
My BM's will be wearing black, pick up style dress with a watermelon pink sash. The GM's will be wearing black tux, ivory shirt, watermelon vest and tie. I'm wondering what color bouquet's/boutonniere's each of them should have? I was first thinking of the BM's a mix of light/bright pinks, but I don't like how the watermelon and fuschia/light pinks didn't match and I don't like the idea of watermelon flowers as well.
I'm going for a modern, elegant look/feel. Would it look bad or good if I had the BM's in ivory bouquets? I really wanted to have a big, pink bouquet for myself and my fiance to have a pink boutonniere so we are going to be in ivory (black tux and ivory as well) so that we have somewhat of color. I also will be wearing watermelon color shoes. Please share with me your opinions or thoughts. It's greatly appreciated.

(Note, we won't be having the GM's wearing hats, disregard that in the picture!)
