- Wedding: April 2014 - Hotel Baronette Renaissance in Novi
So Bees, I have a sort of conundrum, and I’m not really sure how to deal with it.
I get that some people are just not into the holiday spirit, and some people just downright hate it. I have a friend at work who has gone through the remnants of a divorce, and has really been negative about everything having to do with her ex, dating, women her ex is dating, etc. It’s almost a daily thing, and it’s a well-known office drama, and truthfully, it’s really kind of sad. There is a kid involved, and she makes her money problems very vocal. Well, there’s a LOT of negativity and hatefulness going on right now, and it’s affecting me.
Usually I can just brush it off, but it’s coming up on about 4 months to my wedding, and I’m tired of hearing about how horrible marriage is, and basically watching a trainwreck 4 months before I go through with the biggest decision of my life. I mean… it really almost terrifies me. I know that Mr. Kitty is an amazing guy, that I have a ton in common with, and we love each other very much, but it’s hard to see this happen so close to you and not wonder what would happen if you were in that situation. On top of everything, I just want to enjoy the holidays and the end of my engagement!
I know that nobody can hold you back from enjoying your life, but I am just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this kind of negativity and how you blocked it out. It’s just getting harder to deal with. 🙁
