Woohoo! We’ve finally set our date and booked our venue, and photog team. Other things done: Dress purchased
Suit for groom purchased
Lots of purple and silver decor purchased right after christmas so on clearance deals
Bridesmaids dress shopping: tonight! EEEE! So excited.
Processional music decided.
Website name purchased but site is not built yet.
Registered at Bed Bath and Beyond. Makeup/hair set up.
On my to-do listsave the dates. (groupon for Vistaprint. Will be done soon.)set a timeline for day-of.Schedule engagement pictures (June sometime.)
My long-term to do list:… everything else. 🙂
I created a pinterest account *just* for wedding stuff so I can sort it out by category and not bother all my friends. That has been super helpful.
Finally getting excited!!!

You’re doing great! Definitely farther along than I am and I’m a month earlier, haha. I’m hoping to start getting excited eventually.. right now it still feels like a long list of to-dos…
…and now to leave work so I can head to my decor appointment.

@sanjessica: Ooooh decor appt? That sounds fun!!!
My venue includes some decor but we are going DIY for the rest.
The next appt I will go to is with a bakery. Once I find some I want to work with.
A few months away yet. 🙂

@scarlet_letter: ughhh fun until you see the cost! I’m doing barely any DIY and am willing to pay for convenience but my oh my is convenience ever expensive!!!! Oh well – i just have to close my eyes and hand over the check book…

@scarlet_letter: Youre right on cue!! December will be here before we know it! Heck, next week starts March!!!!

YAH for December 7th!!! I am also getting married then too! We rented a mansion in Maine for the weekend and have a caterer. She is amazing and my brother actually knows her from back in the day so that’s cool.
We are still looking for a photographer and dj. There is a bridal show in Maine next month so we are going and checking out some there as well as some I’ve been contacting from searches and recommendations. Dress shopping will happen in two weeks so that’s awesome! My cousin is going to take pictures of us next week for save the dates and I sent out for a sample invitation from Etsy.
What wedding website are brides using to create theirs? I made a free one and I like it (haven’t made it public yet).
Things that are on my mind..
Since we rented a mansion for the wedding, we have to do much more ourselves so I have to… organize a shuttle the day of the wedding, figure out who is sleeping in the house (huge task), organize an itinerary for the weekend, decorations of the whole house, food for the weekend, and other accomodations. There’s probably more that I’m not thinking about yet! 🙂
I’m so exited to get married and in the winter.
Where are December brides thinking about for honeymoons?
@jds12481: Well, my guy and I are considering NYC for honeymoon. Yes. In December. We’re crazy like that.
We are not warm weather creatures. We like cold, windy, rainy, etc. (and yay we live in Seattle! lol)
But we haven’t planned honeymoon yet. Just throwing around some ideas. 🙂

Ah I feel behind after reading your list 🙂
the churchthe hall (booked)
rings (paid in full)
the flowers (paid in full)
registered at BBB
centerpieces (in the works, DIY)
favor ideas (hot chocolate on a stick!!)
honeymoon – Disney cruise & hopefully some days in the world (booked cruise)
picked out the girls dresses
…. I am planning on going in May for my dress. No idea when DF will be going for his attire. We sort of know where we are going to get the cake from, my photog will be a co-worker and my DJ will be an aquaintance of mine. We are going to DIY our invitations too, but we’re not there yet. I’m so nervous about everything that’s left!! And affording all of it! Ah!
We will also be moving in together sometime in the fall before our wedding, so we are super nervous about how the money will work out (because we both live at home now and pay zero rent) He graduated college in December with a teaching degree and we’re also hoping he will secure a teaching job in september, as his current pre-degree job pays crap. It should work out but my savings never seem to work out like I envision they will 😉

Another December 7th bride here! We didn’t plan anything or set a date for MONTHS and just started planning in march but everthing is coming together so quickly and smoothly I’m kind of in shock!
-guest list finalized
-registered- willams and sonoma
-STD’s done and waiting to send out
-premarital conseling to start next week with priest (Episcopal)
may/June here are the to do’s
-book block of rooms
-find wedding shoes : )
I want to get as much done as quickly as I can so we can kick back and enjoy the summer!
For a honeymoon we are thinking about Belize since we have both been to the carribbean/mexico a gazillion times. Time to learn how to scuba dive!

I painted and glittered my wedding shoes a few weeks ago. They turned out way better than I expected. Yay $8 goodwill shoes.
Also purchased all bridesmaids dresses and dress for step daughter and our flower girl. (Thanks ebay!)
We have our STD postcards and they just need to be addressed/sent.
Invitations will be ordered this sunday. Once I design them. Eeek.
The boy and I have been discussing honeymoon but nothing is booked yet. Still thinkin’ NYC.

I’m getting married December 7th as well 😀
Post # 15
A few days before your dates – we just have to finalize a few things, my dress should be all ready in another month, I have to get shoes, his ring, and he needs to get his outfit down too. Also need to figure out vows!
I just feel like this entire year has flown by and the wedding will be here before we know it and I am afraid I’ll be totally unprepared!

I’m so the opposite of you girls, I feel like this year is taking forever! We got engaged last September and set our date within a month of getting engaged (I’ve always wanted a Christmas wedding) and I swear time is dragging. We have all the major vendors set except for transportation. I even have a lot of the smaller details set: all my accessories, gifts for my girls, a day-of schedule, an 8-week out schedule, a list of must-have photos for our photog, favors ordered. The only thing that’s weighing on me is finding reasonably priced flower girl baskets that I actually like, and groomsmen’s gifts. My FI is driving me crazy with those!
