Hi fellow December Bees!
I know we’ve been talking about invitations, but what else is left for everyone to do? Anyone planning on tackling any DIY projects, big or small?
We’ve still yet to buy our bands, select suits for the groomsmen, send rehearsal invitations, select music, or buy BM/GM and parents’ gifts—and the big one: book a limo or videographer. I feel like there is a lot to get done, but I think we’re still in relatively good shape.

We got a bunch done just recently. I addressed a bunch of invites today, we got our wedding bands and bought FIs pants for the suit jacket he already had. I finished the primary ceremony plan and have music for it.
Still to do:
Rehersal Dinner Plans
Find a baker for our cutting cake (we have cupcakes but want to use this heirloom topper)
Wedding Night hotel (We don’t leave on our honeymoon for 2 days)
Lots of little DIY stuff, I’m engraving “toasting mugs” since we are having a hot choc bar, I need to make some different little signs for the reception, we are having a table of wedding photos from our family
I really can see the light at the end of the tunnel with 95 days to go!

Mail invites (week of Oct. 3)
Ceremony programs (in progress)
Order chair covers
Cut sashes and sew table runners
Finish up chair roses (in progress)
Escort cards (Waiting for RSVP’s to finish, but partially complete)
Cut dogwood branches for centerpieces (November)
Rehersal dinner invites
My bachelorette and showers are coming up in November, so those will be busy weekends and I will have thank you cards to write!

I was freaking out for awhile but I feel like I’m chipping away at things! We got our photo guestbook from Shutterfly, my ring, ordered the ketubah, booked the wedding night hotel, and last night I ordered programs, menus, rehearsal dinner invites, and some other paper goods from Vistaprint. Trying to take it one step at a time…
Still on my list:
- Confirm flower order
- Cake design
- Get GMs to get measured for their tuxes
- Send invitations (this weekend!)
- Send rehearsal dinner invitations
- Find dress for rehearsal dinner/AHR
- FI’s ring
- Marriage License
- Escort Cards
- Few miscellaneous centerpiece supplies
- Work with caterer on alcohol order
- Final Fitting
- Confirm timelines with venue, DOC, catering manager, and band
Looking at it, what’s left is pretty minor…now just praying we get a good balance of RSVPs so we don’t go way over budget! Nervous about getting those invites in the mail…that makes it so real!

-Get my dresses altered (I’m dreading this…)
-Kids craft table/activity books
and last but most importantly
-Make my parents understand that it’s NOT OKAY to invite or UNINVITE anyone and everyone they please to either: the wedding or rehearsal dinner.

We just got the groom’s tie and shoes this past weekend. Took his pants in to be hemmed. Tomorrow night I am taking my son (22) to get his suit and dress shoes. He says he wants to pick out his tie – Be afraid, be very afraid … he said he is thinking penguins, PENGUINS!!! We are having a very small wedding so I think it will actaully be cute to look back on this when he is like 40.
Still need to get license / confirm music / get nail appointment / take the cake topper to the venue / give final count to venue / and a cuple of small DIY things.
I have some I DO letters to spray paint black for the photographer to use as props for wedding pic and I made the cutest sign and I have all the painting done I have to attache it to the post to stick in the ground.
I am in good shape but again I having a very small wedding.
