Ok so I have a few issues….
1. My finance (all 5ft 7 of him) wasn’t first in line when God was dishing out long legs! Although to be fair, I was even further back in that line!
2. My dress is satin and champagne colored.
3. I’m getting married in the (likely to be) wet English countryside – Satin, what was I thinking?!
4. I want the majority of my photographs to be taken outside – if the weather allows!!
5. I cant find any appropriate shoes!
I’m a young (like to consider myself a little edgy) 25yr old which makes my plain elegant dress an odd choice for me, so I wanted some gorgeous yet practical (consider the above) shoes that when I lift my dress up they’ll make you think wow!! Can you help?
This is the dress.

I’m actually wearing white sparkly Toms! My dress is super long and full and the shoes will never show so I figured I’d do something fun.

@MrsF2Bee: If I were you, I think I’d look for a closed toe pump with a low heel in a fun bright color. The color should give you the extra wow factor you’re looking for and you won’t have to worry about trying to match your dress color. A flat or low heel will hopefully keep you at a height where you’re comfortable. Also, if you’re worried about sinking you might want to consider something like these http://thesolemates.com/ and I would try to look for something like patent that will be water resistant and keep your feet dry in wet grass. I noticed in your pinterest post that you like purple, so maybe something like one of these:

If you want to add even more interest, you could always look for a sparkly shoe clip too! Hope this helps!

These are mine! I wanted them to be closed in and kind of wintery, but still have a peep toe because I will have green toenails!

Here are mine for the reception & then I have a pair this same color with rhinestones that are flats for the ceremony (getting married on the beach).

I am wearing these, but now am rethinking the open toe thing. BUT I am obviously not going outside!

Mine are peep’s too, but not really concerned with being cold.

I’m planning on wearing these (on cobblestone streets!):

@MrsF2Bee: I am having similar issues! My fiance is 5’8″ and we’re getting married outdoors too… I’m running out of ideas of places to look for shoes. There are so many beautiful shoes online (I like BHLDN and Hey Lady), but they’re all too tall! Keep us posted on what you find (and where you’re looking)!
