What a coincidence, I'm having the SAME EXACT color theme (minus the green)! We ARE twins lol.
Have you chosen your BM dresses yet? I've seen some good ones at White House l Black Market and some are under $100! I'm also having them all wear different styles but have them each wear pink accessories and pink bouquet. Eeek I'm excited!
My sister was a December bride. We wore navy blue satin tea length BM dresses with a light blue piping. She gave us light blue pashminas to have too. All the flowers were white/cream and light blue. She added in silver and gold touches everywhere. She didn't want it to look Christmasy, but it was very wintery. To bad it was like 60 degrees on her wedding day!
I love black BM dresses. And WHBM is a great place for black dresses!!
YAY! we are twins! I'm so excited for those colors! No I haven't picked out my BM dresses yet. I am planning on looking there!! However, from what I remember they usually don't have long dresses. I think I need to get long dresses, because it is winter and I am in NJ. Although it won't be too cold. I really want tee length ones though :(
At first I thought the same thing because I didn't want them to get cold either (even though we live in TX and it's around 80 degrees in Dec still!). But after asking for their input, they like the idea of knee-lenght dresses and plus this is what my MOH said to me, "well, won't we be cold either way?" lol So I thought, "so true!"
And after seeing them try on floor lenght vs. knee-lenght dresses, I have to agree that they look much more youthful, fun, and vibrant in the knee-lenght ones. When is your wedding? Ours is on the 12th =D
All different shades of purple with silver accents! Bridesmaids will wear floor length dresses, each of a different purple - eggplant, wisteria, lilac, etc. Groomsmen will wear bow-ties with the same theme.
I have Navy Blue, Ivory, Gold and Crystal Accents. I am really excited to see how it turns out!
Yay! More December brides!
I am going with blue as my main color, but the bridesmaids will be wearing little black dresses (so classy!).
yay december!
I'm doing black and white for my colors. I''m leaning toward all white flowers, but there's still a little part of me that is thinking about going with some fun colors. Haven't decided yet. My bridesmaids are going to be wearing black tea length dresses.... I'm not sure where from yet. I have found a cute one at Macy's and Nordstrom, both $99. I'm still looking around though.
We are doing black and silver for the wedding colors and using damask accents in our invites.. for centerpieces we are doing candles and pine cones spraypainted silver.
We are doing a deep red--burgundy but without the purple undertones...call it bordeux I guess; paired with white and trim in hunter green.
the bms will be wearing the red with strapless dresses and we are getting them white faux fur shawls to wear and their flowers will be white with red accents whereas mine are red with white accents--so we are contrasting, I think it will look good for pictures!
White, white, and more white..... With emerald green and chocolate brown accents. The BMs are picking their own dresses in different shades of emerald green and grooms are wearing chocolate brown suits. I'm thinking on having just tons of white candles on the tables and fresh green garland and wreaths hung all over the place with white bows and white table linens.
Any ideas on how to pull this off?
worldtrekkerbride- Im having green and brown as my colors! Im getting married 12/28 in South Africa so it will be summer there, but I just thought those colors are so earthy and pretty together! Im wearing an ivory dress so I thought id throw some ivory in there too.
What flowers are you putting in your bouquet??
soontobewife - Yeah! Someone else thinks green and brown are good for a wedding! I'm having a magnolia bouquet to tie into my Acadiana/Cajun inspired wedding (from south Louisiana). But I'm not sure what flowers to use for the BMs. Do you have any ideas?
A lot of people are telling me to give my BM a single long stemmed flower.. like a lily. I think its a pretty good idea so ill probably end up doing that.
My mom actually came up with my colors and I had to think about it for a few days before agreeing.. now im sooo happy i listened to her because I think its different from everyone else's wedding colors!
Miss Sea Spray and soon2beebride, I am having the exact same theme. Black bridesmaid dresses with pink bouquets, and then I'm also incorporating the damask pattern into the reception.
I absolutely love these colors, now I guess we are all triplets, not twins! I got my bridesmaid dresses at White House Black Market for $132! They are flattering to every shape and size.
Navy blue and fuschia! Though we're not sticking super closely to the color scheme, those are the basics.
My colors are Turquoise and Silver and of course WHITE! lol. We're going for a Winter Wonderland theme with an Icy affect.. What do you guys think? :P
We are getting married December 19, 2009. Our colors are red and white. We were originally scheduled to get married on Feb 13 2010 but pushed it forward because we are getting married in Dutch Wonderland. My bridesmaids dresses are red. But I really want to add green into the color scheme
We're doing Navy and silver, with Snowflake decorations - We're having a christmas tree, the fathers will be in red and green (My dad in Red, his dad in Green) and the favors will be ornaments. I'm making some cute button flowers in blue and silver to accent my red and white bouquet. BMs are in Navy with silver shoes, groomsmen are in tuxes with navy vests/ties.
we are doing black bridesmaid dresses with gold and ivory as the accent colours for flowers, reception decorations etc. It will the peak of summer over here in australia so tried to break the black down with a bit of a light contrast. There dresses are also relatively short to accomadate the heat. its a searing heat over here, sun burn 24-7/
Dark green bridesmaid dresses. Silver shoes. I have cream roses. they will have those yellow roses with red tips. I'm not really doing much with decorations other than uses the same type of flowers the bridesmaids have for centerpieces, white linens, may wrap the mints in some green wrapping paper but not sure yet. Having snowflake ornaments to the favors or placecards.
Hey, December brides! My bridesmaids are in navy blue dresses, and my other colors are cream and peachy-pink. I didn't want it too Christmasy. The ballroom will have a 15-foot Christmas tree in the corner, though!
Hi December Brides
My wedding colors are apple red and champagne. with black accents. My wedding dress is ivory/champagne. my maid and matron of honor are apple red and my bridesmaids are champagne colors. with wraps.
Ours are bright, royal blue and black with some touches of silver and white.
YAY other Dec 19 brides! We're doing teal and claret. We picked these colors when we originally wanted to do a May 2010 wedding but moved up the date like 3 weeks after we set it :-). This ties in well for the week before Christmas.

Hi everyone! What are your colors! Mine are black bridesmaid dresses. I'm probably doing pink & green accent colors. With black damask incorporated.
Yay December Brides!
