So me and my fiance are getting married in December (so we have plenty of time! lol) but we are trying to decide on favors. We are having a "rustic elegance" theme. I have always really loved the idea of tree saplings as wedding favors (especially for a rustic theme) but being that we're getting married in December I also like the idea of custom christmas ornaments as favors. I can do the ornaments for about a quarter of the cost (for wooden, half of the cost for ceramic) of the trees but I still can't let go of the idea! Do you think that the ornements would be an ok alternative? Or do you know any cheap places to buy baby trees?

    Thanks!!!

I like the idea of the ornaments the best (I think either wooden or ceramic would be fabulous) because I LOVE getting new ornaments for my tree!  I'm not sure about the trees... not everyone would have a place that they could plant it, and then what would they do with it?  I'd feel bad if I lived in an apartment and had to get rid of the tree or something.  The one thing I'd say about the ornament is this- make sure that if it has your name/date on it, it's not super ostentatious/obvious... while I always write the date that I get a new ornament on it, some people are not as into it as crazy ole me.

Go with the ornaments. I tree is a big obligation lol, some ppl might not have a place to plant it! The ornament will remind the reciever of your wedding every year, much more sentimental!

Ornaments would be cute and very fitting especially if your wedding is before Chirstmas.

I would much prefer an ornament, because we live in an apartment and there's not a damn thing I could do with a tree sapling.

For the ornament, preferably something pretty that does NOT have your names plastered all over it. Even if you were my best friend I wouldn't want to hang your name on my Christmas tree every year.

    Cheers!
