Actually the Southern hemisphere will be in their summer months. So have you checked there? South Africa or Australia or New Zealand maybe?
We're looking into a December honeymoon and something I got from Modern Bride magazine said that really, the only "ideal" place to go in December was the Caribbean unless you like skiing.
I agree with Little Miss Moo.
What about Brazil, Argentina, South Africa Australia or NZ? It's also a great time for Thailand. Are you looking for somewhere closer? Belize maybe?
Good luck with your choice!
We went to Costa Rica in December - it's the high season then. It was just perfect. Look into CR/Belize etc.
If you're looking for adventure and lots to do outdoors besides lay on the beach, Belize is awesome. It is technically Central America, but also considered the Caribbean.
If you don't mind a long travel, but super cheap hotels, food, well pretty much everything is cheap.... Thailand is amazing. Beautiful, cultural, different, still sunny and warm with beautiful beaches.
Check out Tahiti. B/w Australia and Hawaii. We're getting married in Oct and were having difficulty finding a tropical honeymoon that wasn't in the Carribean. Yes it's expensive, but all the reviews I see says it's totally worth it. Voted most beautiful place in the world by many sources.
