It’s a very pretty ring, but I guess I don’t understand wearing an engagement ring before you’re engaged just to “get used to it.”

I have that exact ring as my standin!  It’s not bad for $23 🙂 I’ll post a pic of both in a little bit!

Excuse the gross chipping nail polish! The Berricle is on the top and my diamond is on the bottom.  The Berricle is definitely cloudier and doesn’t feel very sturdy, but its a good sub.

My finger is a 7.0.  My round brilliant  is 1.89 cts, the Berricle is 2.0 cts.

@Lizzy272:  i think a stand in to get used to size is awesome.  I have done the same thing… I was worried about my ring being large (we are also using heirloom stones!), so I ordered a 3 stone cz ring from amazonw ith the same TCW.  I wear it around the house when SO isn’t home, although he knows about it.  My ring is being designed, so I have used it for reference with my designer (he’s long distance), and I also use it to try out bands at home (i have some antique ones I will be using).

@Lizzy272:  We ordered a berricle ring because the style of ering I want isn’t really in B&M stores and I wanted try it on to make sure it’s what I wanted. I don’t think it’s that weird 🙂

I think stand-ins before investing a lot of money in a ring is a good idea – some things you don’t realize about a ring until you’ve worn it for a while.  We did it backwards – bought the more expensive ering, found out it wasn’t the best choice for me, and now I wear my Berricle ring most days Which is a totally different style.

here’s my Berricle ring  – it needs to be cleaned all the time otherwise it looks cloudy, but it’s pretty and the price is right.  Post pics when you get yours!

@Lizzy272:  i’m a size 8 (chubby fingers)

and i got

http://www.amazon.com/Sterling-Silver-Three-Stone-Simulated-Diamond/dp/B000NGMOIM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1386015151&sr=8-4&keywords=three+stone+ring

my ring is going to be a 3 stone with larger outerstones, and a smaller center in a halo.  The closest I could find was the Amazon ring, but it has given me a great feel for what my ring will be like, particularly in blingdom and finger coverage.

Basically, I was scared my ring would look enormous on me, but it totally doesn’t.  Also, my ring is beign designed with the same basket as the Amazon one, but bezel instead of prong set.
