I don’t know anything about the food at Citizens but The Cira Center is catered by Jose Garces. I just LOVE Garces – the restaurants are all so good and I’ve heard great things about working with his catering.

What kind of vibe and vision are you going for? They seem so different to me.

A coworker of mine just got married at CBP…he said it was fantastic! They got pictures in the locker room. He said he had no complaints.

I didn’t know you could get married at Citizens Bank Park! That’s awesome! 🙂 Do you have interior photos of the two, to compare?

I would DIE to have my wedding at CBP. FI and I are HUGE Phillies fans, so this would 100% be where we would have our wedding if we had the budget for it. Do it at CBP so I can live through you please?

Thank you for the links! As amazing as it would be to take photos in the stadium, I think Cira has the better reception site, hands down. It’s gorgeous!

I checked out the Cira Center for my wedding..the food is certainly phenomenal! But for me, the fact that it’s also an office building / meeting space was a deal-breaker for me. I assume your wedding is on a Saturday night, right? Then there wouldn’t be many businesspeople traipising through your ceremony….but given that I’ve been to several conferences there, that’s all I could think of. BUT the space is super pretty and the food is phenomenal. That’s a tough decision!!! I don’t know what the food is like at CBP.

@JW22:  Is there any way to swing just pictures at CBP? I totally get the attachment but the other venue seems to suit your stye and vision more. win-win?

I don’t know if you decided yet, but my aunt got married at CBP about a year ago. Food was so-so, pictures were cool, CBP staff took their job WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. I had been there for about 10 hours and was in the bridal party. At the end of the wedding, fiance and I went to grab my purse in the locker room, and aggressive man asked me “WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING?” I’m one of five people in the same exact dress, where do you think I’m going? All in all, I know THEY had a great time and loved their wedding. The add-ons (having the phanatic show up for 15 minutes for like $100 a minute and stink like a wet dog) were o.k. Cira center looks cool if you ask me. We are getting married at the Franklin Institute in July. If you haven’t decided yet, check it out. Also, we looked at Crystal Tea Room, PAFA, Ballroom at the Ben – all looked like awesome options. Msg me if you have other questions! Good luck!

So exciting that you’ve picked a place – the venue hunt has been so stressful! If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the rental fee and catering start at for the Cira Center? I can’t find much info online and no one has gotten back to me yet. Thanks and congrats!!! Now the real fun planning begins!
