Since December is during the off-season, you will have PLENTY of venues to pick from.  And seven months is not an unreasonable amount of time to get everything done.  Aside from picking the venue and my photographer, I’d say the rest of the planning I’ll have done in the last six months before the wedding.

Yes it will be stressful with school as well, but pick good bridesmaids that can help you out.  I think it will be fine!

You can totally do it! We’re getting married five months after being engaged, and it totally works out! You could also pick a date at the END of December so your FI can help with all the last minute stuff and feel invovled. Have fun!

People moaned and groaned about our wedding being a week before Christmas. But luckily for us, majority of our guests are local! So only a few will have to fly. And we understand if they cant make it. But thats our state of mind! =) I’d say problematic if majority of your guests are Out of Towners (as in flying in)!

But make it work and try to take advantage of ALL the beautiful options! And most places already fancy it up for the holidays which makes decorating even easier! =)

We planned our wedding in five months (and know people who planned one in three months) so I think you can do it.

As for doing a wedding after Christmas, that might actually be easier for some people because they may have time off of school/work anyways, though there may be some people who decline because of family commitments. we had some friends get married thanksgiving weekend last year and it was great because we were able to see our family and go to the wedding in one trip
