I need some opinions. My fiance and I want to go for a casual wedding. I want to have a dress I can wear again. It’s at the end of summer, and I like the idea of simple summer dresses, maybe in the patchwork hippie style. I saw a great one on etsy. Unfortunately, it’s almost $900, and the purpose of casual is to keep it budget friendly. We don’t need to make a big splash for our wedding. We just want our friends and family to share our special day with us. We don’t want to entertain them. I found a great dress on Etsy by Isadora, the chameleon dress. I actually think it just might be a little too dressy. I like it because it is convertible, but this does pose a problem for modesty. I like being modest, even while not in church, and most of the styles you can do with this dress are not that modest, so I would not be able to wear it out of the house that much. Plus, I do have a bigger bust, so a bra is a must. Does anyone have experience with this type of dress? Is it worth it? Has anyone done more hippie style dresses and if so, can you tell me about your experience, post pictures, and/or tell me who made your dress or where you got it? I like the empire style, but I’ve tried on the grecian style that you can do with the chameleon dress and was blown away by how good I looked (I’m a plus-size bride). I just wonder if it was the style particularly or the empire waist.
