  • Wedding: August 2013 - Wynn Las Vegas

We chose ours because it was the school holidays in England. DH’s family has a lotttt of teachers, so we knew they’d be out of school, and able to fly all the way to Vegas. It is also the day before my birthday, but that was just a coincidence.

  • Wedding: December 2014

I was hoping to do ours on our 6 year anniversay… Unfortunately its on a Tuesday. So I chose a fun date that I loved… 12/13/14. EASY to remember 🙂 Plus who doesn’t need a vacation in December when you live in the midwest!!

We always knew we’d be married in October. It has so much meaning and great memories behind it. Ugh. We wanted October 4 because it would be my  late grandparents 75th anniversary. But different family members had issues with every date we liked. Oct 25 was the only date everyone agreed on. Ironically were now eloping because of non stop family drama, but I’m still stuck with the 25 since my dress won’t be ready before. Oh well!

  • Wedding: December 2012

We wanted a ‘winter’ wedding, so I threw out a couple Saturdays in late November/early December and he chose 12/1/12 because it would be easy to remember. So, not scientific or meaningful in anyway, except now its our wedding anniversary 🙂

We wanted October/November since my FI sweats ALOT and I love the look of fall pics(my favorite season).  I wanted 11/1 however the church was only free for 11/8.  We actually got really lucky since this church is normally booked 2 years out and we booked it for the last open day they had in 2014 only a year in advance.  I originally thought I was going to have to get married in 2015!

Ours is the day after our 5th anniversary. I assume dating anniversaries usually get lost once you have a wedding anniversary instead so it’s nice that we still get to keep our original anniversary but not worry about forgetting it once we’re married 🙂

  • Wedding: September 2015

September 6, 2015 will be our 5 year anniversary. So it was going to be September 6 no matter what year. Originally we thought 2014 (we have been engaged since 2012) …but we pushed it back because we moved to another state and we have a toddler…so thought it would be nicer when she was a tad older.

We chose ours because of Easter half term break. We both work at a college so it had to be a date when we have time off, ie not term time. We chose easter because neither dh or I wanted to wait, it was also close to our first date anniversary & our engagement date.

I’m also more of a Spring fan rather than Autumn. My mobility/health issues tend to affect me less during Spring and Summer as it tends to be warmer, so that also factored into our decision.

25th July would of been my grandads birthday so we decided to do it for the 26th July in memory of him because he paid for everything xxx

We were meant to marry in September because the date was significant to us, but our venue double booked us! We had to find a new venue and sadly there were no dates left in September or October so we went with the 30th of August. It is the last weekend in Winter,  and our parents and grandparents all have Winter anniversaries so I guess it was meant to be?  😛

Wilson2Bee:  nope it was completely the opposite. It was his family and monthes after we had settled on a date SIL announces she’s pregnant and due a mere 2 weeks before our planned day. So we rescheduled the date twice with her, only for her to be mad that were having a wedding this close to her giving birth. Ironically we got engaged 2 years ago and always told everyone 10/4/14 was our perfect date 🙁 So now were eloping and boy do I wish I hadn’t kept the date she agreed to!

We choose October 10, 2015 bc it’s as close to our anniversary as we can get Which is October 7th. Also bc we live in Mississippi it is very hot down here even in the fall season and tends to rain a lot. October weather is around 75 and one of the fewest months to get rain. I’m already frustrated tho I have ALOT of people complaining because it will be during SEC football season (seriously wish they would shut up it’s one game and they can watch it in their phones for all I care) and both me and my fiancé have neices with their birthdays the next day and our ring bearer and my fiancé birthdays on the 12th.
