I’m so torn between these two (quite different) dresses. The strapless one moves and flows so elegantly in real life. If it were just up to ‘real life’ I’d totally pick that one, but I’m not going to see it move in all of my wedding photos. Help!

I am also a sucker for keyhole backs… that’s what I voted for. The first dress is beautiful though and I like how the bottom has some movement to it.

I think the strapless number suits you better. The keyhole back dress…I don’t know. The skirt isn’t quite right.

One thing I wish I had considered when buying my dress, is ease and cost of alterations, and accessories. Both these dresses look wonderful on you. Is there a particular veil you’ve always dreamed of wearing, heirloom earrings/necklace you need to wear? I’ve fallen in love with certain accessories, only to discover they didn’t suit the dress…

I may be biased because I’m wearing a keyhole but…. I LOVE THE KEY HOLE!! lol 🙂

This keyhole dress only looks pretty to me from the BacK, but the strapless looks gorgeous on you from all angles. If I were you, I’d get the strapless one or find a different keyhole one with front and side views that are as good as the back on you.

@EatLiftWed: i like the layerd look of the strapless.

I chose the strapless. I think it looks very nice, and its the one you actually talk about in your post and you sound like you love it. The keyhole one does have an elegant feel to it though and I do really like it. i was originally leaningt oward it, until I thought about the fact that you didn’t say a word about how you felt about that one. I think you should get the one you would feel most comfortable in.

Personally I think the strapless one looks gorgeous on you in photos, so if you love it better in real life too then you should get that one! 🙂

Thanks everyone 🙂
I have no accessories that need to match (yet) but have been thinking about either no veil or a birdcage veil.
The next time I go to DB I’m going to take some ‘action shots’ while walking/moving and see if the movement of the strapless comes across that way. I do really like the keyhole too (it was my favorite going into the appointment), but the strapless is the one I didn’t want to take off at the end of the session.

If you like the way you feel in the strapless one, then pick that one. Photos are important, but if you feel great in the dress, that will shine through in the photos too.

@EatLiftWed: The keyhole is gorgeous, but you should definitely go with your heart! 🙂 You look great in them both.

I voted for the strapless and I’m usually someone who likes straps on dresses. It just looks so pretty on you and it photographs well. If you didn’t want to take it off, that’s a very good sign.

I love the strapless dress!
Although I obviously cannot see it “move” in still pictures, I can see how beautifully the many layers sit and imagine how they would float and move as you do. That is a such an elegant, regal-looking dress! To me, there is no comparison between the two.
