Very cute. Mine were all obvious things like lilies are my absolute most favoritest (I know its incorrect grammar :)) flower. We had a slideshow in the background. I guess since his family owns the venue, that was a little bit of us in and of itself. Basically everything was contributed (my dad made the pergola, my aunt did all the flowers, etc) by people close to us. Pretty boring, lol, but thats us!!

Yes, definitely color (bright, and lots of it!) and the setting (beach). Also, we wrote our own ceremony and vows, and they had lot of “personality” LOL. And don’t forget music!! We are big music fans, so we put a lot of thought into our music selections.

Our personality also came through in what we chose not to do… nothing too tradiitional and nothing included just because it was “expected.” And the vibe – not stuffy or formal.

Mainly in the ceremony. I sing in a semi-professional church choir at my church so we are having members of the choir sing and I am going to pick songs I really like. I personally think the ceremony should be all about us and we should have whatever we want for that and the reception should be a big party that’s more focused on making the guests happy. Obviously our taste will dictate the choices but there’s nothing that screams “us” like tables named after places we’ve been, etc.

Our wedding is carnival themed. We’re both very outgoing people and a lot of fun.

Lots of personal touches, lots of diy–each project chosen will be reflective of us because if we didn’t like it we wouldn’t do it. The colours we chose are laid back ‘cool’ tones that actually happen to be drawn from some of our favourite colours. We’re also going to have family photos on display.

Other than that there will games (whee!) and our music is from some of our favourite artists.

Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows my purple is my favorite color ever so I’m obviously using that as my main wedding color. I’ve also always loved fall and Halloween so I’m going with a decidedly fall theme with lots of pumpkins and a wishing tree with leaf-shaped tags instead of a guestbook. I think those kinds of touches add whimsy and fun, which is very me.

We’re getting married in the neighborhood where we live, met, fell in love, and got engaged. 🙂

We both enjoy (and collect) wine, so I may be using cut wine bottles insead of vases. We’re also going to give a list of our favorite places in the neighborhood for our guests to visit during the two hour gap between our wedding ceremony and reception. (They’re only 1/2 block apart!)

Ideally, I’ll have a couple of my favorite wines for my guests to enjoy at the wedding, but they’re not quite in the budget.

To be honest, I have no clue. It can’t be the colors (I’m doing fuschia)… but everyone thinks that is a big surprise. I’m doing the colors more for my fiance. 🙂 I guess my “personality” is the general lack of a theme for my wedding. I don’t have a secondary color (maybe I’ll do chocolate, because it’s my favorite color). Whatever I choose, it’s just because I think it’s cool/pretty/whatever. I’ve always been known to walk to my own tune and have a “funky” personality. So I’m guessing that’s where my personality is coming out 🙂
